  1. Uhm no. You can't ask him. Request denied.
  2. Rooms 1-4 should now be fully operational, including 17 challenges (of which 1 is secret ). Using MultiInv, so people can't take their stuff with them (Although MultiInv doesn't do anything about EE alchemy bags and transmutation tablets...)
  3. And updated with a couple screenshots Anyone any ideas for fun challenges to complete? I'm mostly thinking of having to craft certain items, such as, for example, a redpower pump. (yes, I did put in a chest with a single uranium, silver and nikolite ore)
  4. As some of you know, I've recently been working on a project I call the Cleanroom challenge (omenofstorms is currently testing ) More information about it can be found here. yerkid and yellow_enderman are also trying it now You can reach the area by taking the shuttle at spawn to my ship, and from there taking another shuttle to "Cleanrooms" Ask me for permissions :)
  5. Hey Tekkit players! I've recently been thinking about, and working on, a new kind of challenge for Tekkit. Inspired by a Feed the Beast map (I played on Sp0nge's one a couple times), I came up with an idea that was both similar and completely different: The Cleanroom challenge. The idea here is that you get locked up in a big room, with only a massfab at your disposal, from which you'll have to get all your basic materials, to complete several challenges. I have set up several test chambers on the server I play on most (http://www.technicpack.net/forums/threads/3-1-2-%E2%99%85ethereal-gaming%E2%99%85friendly-community-towny-multiverse-economy-lwc.9937/), and would like to hear any suggestions for challenges or things to add. Later on, I will be updating this thread with screenshots and more information, and also with the challenges I came up with. The current rooms are made of iron blocks with white lamps, and the inner dimensions are 30x30x15. The massfab is embedded in the wall (this might change to allow people to pump in scrap). I used an external power source, and the massfab gets powered directly from 8 MFSU's. The rooms are located on the Ethereal Gaming server (open), so drop by and ask for AerikAwesome if you want a look around. Thanks for reading, and I'm looking forward to any suggestions Some screenshots:
  6. Doing my best, fixed one issue, but others keep popping up as I fix them....
  7. ... Something appears to be wrong with the server, related to CB++, as far as I can see... EDIT: Has one of the persons with FTP access recently messed around with the IC2 config? ID values for several of the explosives is set to 0, not sure how long this has been the case, but it might be what's causing the error in CBPP 2012-09-26 03:09:51 [sEVERE] 2012-09-26 03:09:51 [sEVERE] 2012-09-26 03:09:51 [sEVERE] Your server has encountered an unexpected exception! 2012-09-26 03:09:51 [sEVERE] Please report this to the developers at http://spout.in/cbpp 2012-09-26 03:09:51 [sEVERE] 2012-09-26 03:09:51 [sEVERE] Exception Stack Trace Begins: 2012-09-26 03:09:51 [sEVERE]IllegalArgumentException 2012-09-26 03:09:51 [sEVERE] net.minecraft.server.Block.(Block.java:181) 2012-09-26 03:09:51 [sEVERE] net.minecraft.server.Block.(Block.java:201) 2012-09-26 03:09:51 [sEVERE] ic2.platform.BlockCommon.(BlockCommon.java:14) 2012-09-26 03:09:51 [sEVERE] ic2.common.BlockTex.(BlockTex.java:16) 2012-09-26 03:09:51 [sEVERE] ic2.common.BlockIC2Explosive.(BlockIC2Explosive.java:13) 2012-09-26 03:09:51 [sEVERE] ic2.common.BlockITNT.(BlockITNT.java:17) 2012-09-26 03:09:51 [sEVERE] net.minecraft.server.mod_IC2.load(mod_IC2.java:380) 2012-09-26 03:09:51 [sEVERE] cpw.mods.fml.common.modloader.ModLoaderModContainer.init(ModLoaderModContainer.java:351) 2012-09-26 03:09:51 [sEVERE] cpw.mods.fml.common.Loader.modInit(Loader.java:263) 2012-09-26 03:09:51 [sEVERE] cpw.mods.fml.common.Loader.initializeMods(Loader.java:618) 2012-09-26 03:09:51 [sEVERE] cpw.mods.fml.server.FMLBukkitHandler.onLoadComplete(FMLBukkitHandler.java:142) 2012-09-26 03:09:51 [sEVERE] net.minecraft.server.MinecraftServer.init(MinecraftServer.java:207) 2012-09-26 03:09:51 [sEVERE] net.minecraft.server.MinecraftServer.run(MinecraftServer.java:492) 2012-09-26 03:09:51 [sEVERE] net.minecraft.server.ThreadServerApplication.run(SourceFile:492) 2012-09-26 03:09:51 [sEVERE] Exception Stack Trace Ends. 2012-09-26 03:09:51 [sEVERE] 2012-09-26 03:09:51 [sEVERE]
  8. Gamemaster, and anyone having this issue: To receive the daily/weekly/whatever benefit of your donation rank, simply use /kit [rank]. So in this case, /kit iron would give you the set of pipes.
  9. That's because I restarted it. Things were baaaaaad...
  10. Most lag should now be fixed, it had to do with Logblock not being able to keep up with writing to the database, and not being able to fit its data in there, causing the small "buffer" files to no longer stay small. (For the experts: increasing packet size fixed the first, and changing the datatypes for x and z coords in the SQL table from smallint to mediumint fixed the second issue)
  11. That. And yeah, I fully understand why this major update takes such a long time, without any ETA. Really, that's not a problem. This thread, however, was more about why no minor updates have been published, containing updates for the mods, while still remaining in 1.2.5. These updates contain many bug fixes, tweaks, etc. that would make the Tekkit experience even more fun, and seeing as many people have been able to update these manually (thereby no longer being able to play online), I don't fully understand why these have not been added to Tekkit yet.
  12. Well himan, you told us this in a previous post. What would you prefer, smoking craters and grief complaints or a couple blacklisted items? (nono, don't even answer, it was rhetoric)
  13. Fair enough EDIT: Although, looking at previous posts on this thread, and from own experience, I can't help but wonder how immensely complicated this mod pack must be to still not have updated e.g. Buildcraft to their latest bukkit version for minecraft 1.2.5... (Insert sarcasm according to own taste)
  14. I have been asking myself the exact same thing, about Tekkit not updating, for the past, well, month? Looking at the Technicpack.net homepage, the latest news post is from August 13, which is over a MONTH ago... No matter how much I like Tekkit, I'm almost getting the feeling that this is becoming an abandoned little hobby. ("feeling", mind you, before you start trying to burn me ) If not an update, at least a news post from the devs explaining what's taking them so long/why they're not updating would be nice. Pfoo. Finally got that off my chest xD
  15. Something seems to be wrong with a chunk with compact solars in it, every time someone goes in the server crashes... (So it also crashes again if said person logs back in -.-) We have no idea where this is, or why it is happening. Server is back up.
  16. Whitelisted! Also, a quick reminder for all applicants, this is the actual whitelist application form: In-Game Name: Age: Experience with Tekkit: Did you read the rules?: Your personal http://whitelist.mcf.li/ link: Why were you banned?[if not leave blank]:
  17. Sorry guys, overdid the regenning of a stronghold, it'll be back up in a couple mins
  18. Added to the whitelist, welcome to the server!
  19. Hmm, might want to go do something else, this could take a while... Files cluttering up the server I delete seem to magically reappear upon restarting.
  20. Ah, that would make it 11 in the morning then. Finished deleting files, server attempting to restart. -fingers crossed- EDIT: Well, fuck. Files just reappeared. Trying again.
  21. Hmm, same issue, but OG/YG sounds to me like the noise a zombie would make... Any chance of a practical solution/explanation for a noob who is willing to learn?
  22. Well, it's morning here too, 10 am to be precise. Might I ask what time zone you're in? Server is still working on deleting those files, btw. I've got to go in an hour at most, so I hope I can fix it more permanently in that timeframe.
  23. I think because of CoreProtect log files filling up disk space, although I could swear I deleted those 5000 files 30 mins ago... AND tried a purge in-game 15 mins ago. Working on it. EDIT: You guys are lucky I'm pulling an all-nighter, noone to quickly fix it online otherways... Since, again, it appears to be crashing only when cmuff sleeps, lol
  24. Still looks down to me, no idea how you got in... EDIT: Down again. I'm ready to kill someone... Fuck.
