  1. I encountered a random crash just running along through a village. After that when I tried to load up the save the internal server crashed when trying to download terrain. Replacing the level.dat file let me reload the the save. Returned to the village and replicated the crash. Attempted deleting chunks with mcedit so they could regenerate, I've had to do this before on a server I used to run cause we'd encounter corrupted world chunks. All that did was make it crash regardless of a fresh level.dat file or not.
  2. You can find Hexical Future if you search for it on the technic site. I made that earlier this year. It's basically Hexxit for minecraft 1.6.4. Now that DID take a bit to get configured. The version I'm making thats for 1.7.2 was a lot easier to put together. The only thing I really need to do is set the loot tables for battletowers and infernal mob drops. My internet has been down for the past week however. I'm on a random free wifi hotspot at the moment so I don't know when I'll get it online. I need to find something to replace cloud boots since the better dungeons mod isn't updated for 1.7.2 yet. It feels wrong not being able to get them. That and dimensional doors.
  3. I have already made an updated version of hexxit. It was earlier in the year, I replaced some mods that weren't compatible etc. It's a TON of work. Loot tables have to be configured, individual settings for different mods have to be configured. I never did get the dungeon spawn rate set to a good median that I liked. They always seem to spawn too often or not enough. Anyway, I named the pack Hexical Future if you want to check it out. Edit: I got bored and started working on what is essentially hexxit for 1.7.2. More of the mods are updated than I thought. I don't know when I'll actually get around to uploading the pack. The main mod not updated for 1.7 is better dungeons, which is a big one when it comes to hexxit. Right now I'm using DungeonPack and FloatingRuins as supplements in it's absence. So far the only mod I'm actually going to have to do any configuring on is battletowers to get the loot tables fixed. Everything else doesn't use predefined loot tables. I'm about to dive in for a couple hours and actually play it. I've been spending all my time just making sure all the mods work together without any crashes and such.
  4. That sir was no glitch. I also don't believe what you were fighting was actually what's known as a pirate captain. Sounds like you encountered an infernal mob. Mobs can have special abilities. It should say under their name what abilities they have. Sort of like Diablo. The mob in question you were fighting had sticky. So anytime he's struck he pulls your weapon from you. I suggest getting some magnetic meteorite armor, that way when you encounter sticky enemies your weapons fly back to you after a few seconds. As far as not being what's known as a pirate captain, he may have been the captain of the particular boat you attacked, but he's just treated as another pirate, same attacks etc. The large 3 floor pirate ships have pirate captains. They have 200hp they wield ninja daggers and make clones of themselves to fight you and can turn invisible (you can still see their weapons bobbing where they are walking).

  8. Where is the updated version of Harken Scythe? It seems all I can find is the 1.5.2 version.

Well, over in the other thread about updating hexxit to 1.6.4 I actually found two of the big mods that I couldn't find before so I'm about to add those, but the pack is put together now and working. I figured out the config for spawning dungeons in other biomes and have that set. I just have to get the config down for how often they spawn to where the spawn rate feels right and not like there's too many dungeons or too little dungeons. I haven't touched the loot config cause thats a TON of work. It's not so bad in dungeons but battle towers loot sucks.
  10. I completed a modpack literally just the other day (monday night) which is pretty much just hexxit updated. I replaced more bows with the crossbow mod and rotten flesh to leather with another mod that does the same as the version they used in hexxit hasn't been updated. When I checked I couldn't find Harken Scythe and Xeno's Reliquary so I will have to add those in, which will make a big difference. I was missing reliquary for sure. Everything else is there though. I also added the dungeon pack mod so there's even more dungeon variety. A better mobs mod, weeping angels, and the statues and carpentry mods from attack of the b-team. The biggest problem is the loot added to chests. Each mods loot chest have to be configured manually and all item IDs have changed. So currently chests only contain either vanilla loot or loot added by the mod they were spawned by. The main dungeons aren't so bad, but battle towers loot particularly sucks. So I've tried to make it where they don't spawn as much. I haven't had much time to actually play the pack and test it out to get the dungeon spawning rate to where it feels right and make sure nothing breaks the game, but I've had a private server running for me and my buds to play on since tuesday and it hasn't crapped out yet so that's a good sign right? lol.
  11. I just the other day started putting together what is essentially hexxit for 1.6.4. Roughly 85% of the mods in Hexxit HAVE been updated for 1.6.4. The major ones that have NOT are Asgard shields, more bows, xeno's reliquary, legendary gear, harken scythe and of course the hexxit gear itself. I've found an awesome mod that adds crossbows that is a nice alternative to the more bows mod. I haven't found anything yet to stand in for the others. On the official page for legendary gear the author states that he is not going to update the mod for 1.6.x and was waiting for 1.8 or later. Rotten flesh to leather also has not updated for 1.6.4 but there are TONS of mods that do the same thing and it was pretty easy to find an alternative. The custom lan ports mod has also not updated for 1.6.4 but that doesn't really affect anything gameplay wise. The biggest problem so far is just getting the better dungeons mod configured right. When I first installed the mod I didn't even think it was working cause I was flying around in creative and not seeing any dungeons. Somehow the dungeon generation is different from 1.5.2 to 1.6.4. Even with all the same biome settings and spawn frequency settings of hexxit dungeons just feel REALLY sparse so I'm having to tweak a bunch of config files.
