I agree.. if you know how to use Linux, it can be far superior to Windows. After all, windows is the layman's access to OS functions. Anyone that ran on DOS would understand that.

Why are people so bent on not buying the game?? It is only $27 and change.. OMG it wont break the bank. You can borrow $10 from 3 people to pay for it! Geeze... just buy it and get over it. Besides.. purchasing the game gives you easier access to update/downgrade your minecraft for modding which I believe you have to do weird workarounds for the cracked version.. Moral of the post- BUY THE GAME and STOP ASKING ABOUT PIRATING!!!

After another restart of my computer, lag was gone. Wish I could have been of more help.

I experienced the same problem of NEI not allowing me to spawn items into my inventory. I op'd myself and restarted- was fine.

I just started having the lag issue over the last few days. I have a Core2 Duo 2.4 ghz Windows Vista home premium 64bit 4gb ram I also have a 512 (dedicated) nvidia card in my laptop. I am using all default configs for the launcher and using the rec build I would be happy to assist if you need.

I don't see how you could possibly get top level armor within 10 hours of gameplay- it would take an immense amount of time to charge up a klein star omega and each piece of top level EE armor requires a full one to craft. OMG!!! I started on EE and was able to get Red Matter armor by around 12 hours or so.. but to get the gem armor would be ridiculous! To mine and your defense, I did start crafting the red matter katar and morning star before I crafted the red matter armor. I still do not see how to get 4 full Omega klein stars within that amount of time unless others were dumping emc into your stars.. that might be the difference I am missing here.

Maybe I go play polo tomorrow. I have never watched it nor know any rules, but I will get a croquet mallet and see what I can do. Maybe it will be like Quidditch. Lol.. (Hrm.. maybe knowing the rules might help after all)

I saw the bukkit essentials package.. there is a group manager addon as well. Would it be worth while going through the group manager too? or will that cause any issues?

I would suggest that anyone else getting impatient at the wait for Tekkit 2.0 just hang on to the impatience as anticipation. After all, Tekkit is one of the best server mods out there! In fact, it was Tekkit that rose my interest in minecraft in the first place. I say kudos to the Technic pack team for the BS they have to endure for all the UNPAID time they put into producing something that we all can use and love. I have been watching the boards for the last 3 weeks hoping for the server package to come through. When it does.. I will love it that much more for having to wait on it! Producing a quality product to them is important and it should be to everyone else.. Kick Tekkit 2.0 off in style! Woot!!!

I love the new launcher... Personally, I like the idea of the different mods being selected to run from the start. I am a very recent Minecraft player and instantly fell addicted to the technic/tekkit packs. I have had only one real issue where I try to run the jar file directly because I can play it at work during my lunch break, but I get the technic splash screen and does not move any further. Is this related to the issue of needing internet? I am running Vista 64 bit home premium with 4gb ram Also, Thanks for the hard work you guys put into this.. YOU ROCK!
