Thank you Jay?, that was my thought as that information is found in these forums and in the Thaumcraft 2 wiki. I have helped and answered so many questions before I realized these questions exist because people are too lazy to really find the information out for themselves. To: theinbetween- my recommendation to you is to search Google and/or these forums for the information you seek on research in Thaumcraft. I spent 5... count them (* 5 seconds *) to type in thaumcraft 2 research and *poof* the answer is found!!!

Y such a rush? enjoy what has been given and let the team build when they are ready... Without speaking for them, I know when I am working on an upgrade to a project I am on, the last thing I want is people asking when is the latest coming out? when will the next phase begin? etc... it comes off as annoying and can get very frustrating when multiple people are asking the same thing.

Have you attempted to delete/remove the technic launcher you have and reinstall? I had a similar issue where my launcher became corrupted and did a reinstall... everything turned out fine.

Thaumcraft has a detector symbol that uses a spider eye. Checkout a Thaumcraft tutorial video- you can make the "ultimate BUD switch" with Thaumcraft.

Exactly. I just started to look into building my own server and bukkit doesn't seem all that impressive for user friendliness. I can't imagine hMod was worse. Yeah.. the pluggins are easy to add (when they are made specifically for bukkit) but mods and stuff seem so much more difficult to work with to get in bukkit.. I again, take my hat off to the technic team for their great accomplishment.

I read that on their site... Ugh! The only credit they give to hMod is negative credit- to me that is always bad publicity when you talk down about your "competition" which I believe hMod is still considered to them.

Wow... I would never have known. Bukkit seems pretty cool from my perspective, but that is a very limited view as well which only dates back 2 months. I began using some of the plugins for Bukkit to assist with the server administration. I am still at odds with what to use (plugin wise). I am rooting for the Technic team 100% whether you guys go solo (without Bukkit) or not. Thanks for sharing that back story.

Excellent. I really like running my own server for the group of friends I have.. Permissions can be a headache, but all in all it is FUN! I am also happy to hear that the Tekkit builds will stay separated so it is easier to log in to which ever server build we play on. Then I will keep watching through the forums / main Tekkit website for any updates coming up to the server build. Thanks KakerMix!

I looked for this and couldn't find the question/answer anywhere. I understand that the launcher is able to auto-update when patches are made. Where would I find the updates made to the server platform or even where the notifications of the update(s) are posted?

It is possible.. I will have a look later on. I read about the water strainer issue somewhere on this board too. I just built a tunnel around the oil hole, filled in where the water was mixing, uncovered and destroyed my pump. Replaced the pump and voila- it worked!

I have been playing Technic / Minecraft since Technic 1.1.4 (Even setup a simple server to play around on) I fell in love almost instantly! Frankly, Minecraft looked like a huge turnoff because of the spectacular Cutting-Edge graphics. I sat down and started to craft and found out what I loved best - Crafting. The Technic pack provides an enormous crafting capability that encourages the player to continually learn and grow. I found the Technic pack through a search for "top mods to use in minecraft" The technic pack was 2nd on the list below the yogsbox. I enjoyed the yogs box until Technic.. Especially since it was like yogsbox but on steroids. Woot! Gotta give a shout out to the Technic team here for making me a HUGE fan!
