  1. Hi all, I was wondering if anyone knew if there were config files that dictated what color Laser Foci correspond to what kind of Ore? There are so many tables and charts out there that contradict each other, I wanted to just look for myself, and/or possibly add ores that were missing. I specifically am looking to generate Yellorite or Uranium Ore for use with my Big Reactors. Mod creator said he thought the correct lens was Cyan, but I heard someone else mention Lime. Additionally, I was wondering if anyone was an expert at dealing with the Laser Drill in general in the latest version of Tekkit and feeding it RF style power. I have a Tesseract on top of the drill with power from each side of the tesseract going to each of the 4 prechargers. They light up Red, which I don't know what that means, and the power meter looks frozen, but I timed the work on the drill with a stop watch, and it seems to be going fast, an ore every 12 seconds. And as I removed prechargers, the speed kept going down. So even though they looked frozen, they are still doing the job. My multimeter indicates they are pulling about 5000 RF/t each. Just want to know if that is accurate.
  2. Pretty much anything lost from Classic Tekkit has been replaced in some way in the new Tekkit. Look into Applied Energistics and kiss any old methods of sorting good bye.
  3. Thanks, didn't know there was a nullifier, I'll probably switch it to item ducts now!
  4. Is Optifine only client based? Doesn't help the server do anything better? Hadn't heard of Bungee Cord, but may look into that. But first I'm going to look more into this idea of using Java JDK with advanced commands. Supposedly it allows the Java platform to utilize more threads, which it won't do by default. I'll report back if I learn more.
  5. Anyone know if there is a way to make the Tekkit Server multithreaded? I saw some somewhat technical posts around the internet about launching the batch file with some complicated commands, and requiring Java's JDK instead of JRE, but seemed confusing. Or does Optifine work anymore? Think that had some multithreading stuff in it. I've got loads of RAM available, but I never see CPU utilization go higher than 1 "core" (its a 6 core, 12 thread processor, so looks like it's only able to leverage 1 thread).
  6. Well I'm routing it with a diamond pipe now. I just wanted to know if anyone was having problems with the Item Router itself. One of the requirements of my sorting was to send certain stuff to a void pipe, which probably would have involved additional steps with Itemducts, unless there is a convenient equivalent to the Void Pipe that is itemduct compatible.
  7. Trying to use an item router to sort output from a quarry, but it seems to be jamming up after successfully sorting one object. Anyone have any clue what's going wrong? I first tried it on site with a quarry, couldn't figure it out, then transitioned to Diamond Pipe instead, which worked fine. Now I am trying to utilize an item tesseract, and keeping the sorting back at base, but tesseracts like to output to an inventory, meaning a chest and/or itemducts. Since Itemducts don't connect to diamond pipe, I am kinda forced to use the item router. The connections all work fine, and it starts to send stuff to the item router, but it only sorts one thing, then gets jammed with the second stack, which is basically the original problem I had when I first used it. Halp! Edit: Ended up rigging the sorting system up using buildcraft pipes. Diamond pipe, with the wooden transport pipe being powered by a 20RF/t energy cell for speed. That item router is totally screwy. Pity, cuz I wanted to play around with itemducts! If anyone figures out the item router issue, please share!
  8. Any trick to sending items with tesseract? Quarry doesn't seem to want to input them into the tesseract. Edit: Problem lies with my Item Router. It is jamming up. Anyone know anything about the item router jamming up in this latest version?
  9. Might want to add Dimensional Anchors in on that. Current release was spamming server console with constant messages, updating Anchors to the latest (1 version higher) stopped the issue.
  10. All you need to interface with the ME Drive is a standard ME Access Terminal wired to the same network as the drive. Don't need the ME chest at all, but you can keep it around if you want to go in and manipulate single drives for some manual organization. There are more advanced options for organization later on, but for the bare minimum, you can have an ME Drive, up to 10 Drives, a Network Controller, and an ME Access Terminal. I recommend upgrading the Access Terminal to a Crafting Terminal ASAP, as it is AWESOME. Oh and if you want to pump items into the network from a Quarry or something, you CAN pump it into the chest with a single drive in it, it will still spread stuff to the drives in the ME Drive if its on the same network as the ME Chest. I'd recommend putting the "priority" of the ME Drive to be higher than the ME Chest, to ensure that stuff gets sent to the drives first so the chest doesn't get clogged up. If you reach a point where you want to phase out the ME Chest you are pumping into, but still want to pump items into the network, you can simply pump them into an ME Interface, that will do the same thing, without worrying about the drive in the chest at all.
  11. With the Minium Stone changes, ender pearls are harder to come by, so I figured I could perhaps return to buildcraft teleport pipes, but looks like they were removed. They got me good! Was thinking of some kinda ender pearl farm using an auto spawner and mob grinder. Thoughts?
  12. Were you able to update it into tekkit 1.2.6 manually without issue? Quick rundown on procedure perhaps? (and would it work on an existing world?)
  13. Thanks PietLab! Any problem integrating it? Quick rundown on procedure for updating it perhaps?
