Hey peoples. I'm trying to setup a fissile reactor so that once it reaches a certain temperature, the fuel rod inside will pop out, so that the water will then cool it down. Once it is down below a certain temperature, then the fuel rod would go back in. I've tried a few ways that I've google, however none achieved any help... atomic waste went everywhere. Is there a way to do this whilst still using water and the turbines to make a sufficient source of electricity. All help will be much appreciated.

Try re-installing java and tekkit.

Hello peoples. I still have the old technic launcher and I am soon to download the new launcher. However, I have forgot my password and recovery options for my account, but the password and username is still entered. So, is it possible to migrate the LastLogin.dat from the appdata of the old launcher to the new one. Cheers to anyone who helps.

Maybe the server you are playing on is just a slow server, or your internet speed isn't fast enough. It's most likely the fact that the server you're connected to is not that fast...

I hijacked my old windows 98 Pentium 2 with an install of Linux. Then I throw on a tekkit server. 256Mb of RAM, 970Mhz core and it can hold about 5-7 players reliably.

Um.... have you tried it without chocolate?

Do you have the technic log or anything? There isn't really much we can do without any sort of log associated with Technic.... unless other people know something I don't.

That isn't an error, that's just an INFO line. Note the INFO. If it was an error, it would say WARNING or SEVERE. But you could give it a try without chocolate.

AH!! Thank you!! I will look through it now! EDIT: That is rather odd........ there isn't any previous warning and it looks like a network error within the server, as it says "SEVERE A critical server error occurred handling a packet, kicking 1271". Note the underlined packet.....

So I'm fairly limited with most plugins.... I've tried to use the world portals plugin, but don't know what version to download. EDIT: Will towny work, and if so what version do I need? Link if anybody has a link to a version. Cheers!!!

I've been looking at the bukkit dev site to get a newer version of bukkit to run the tekkit server. Now, I'm sort of confused here, but will any version of bukkit still run tekkit classic 1.2.5? Please help anybody...

So where would you guys suggest putting the gig limits? My computer has 8Gb of RAM, and I currently have a total of 15Gb of page file available. What should I set the limits to?

What exactly is the issue?

so would I be better off putting it down to maybe min of 3Gb max of 5Gb? Would the page file usage slip over to RAM usage once it becomes active? What will happen?
