Server is back up. The host encountered an issue when installing a new, secondary hard drive and inadvertently wiped my primary hard drive. That's why the server was down for so long, I had to rebuild it from scratch haha. Everything should be back to normal, but the map is now a backup from earlier this week (not long ago, about 3 days I think). Let me or Slum know if you notice anything out of place or wrong.

I'm actually just going to make a second server that will run crackpack, that way we can have both. (hence the need for some server upgrade work )

Yup! I'm running an upgrade on the server right now, and it might take a little longer than expected to get back up. It should help give us a performance increase, especially if we end up expanding more. As for the map reset, it's really going to be for the best. It will take care of bugs that have been causing people to not be able to play. I can cut the affected chunks out, but there's no way to save what they have built. To give you guys an idea of what I did to try to fix the chunks: I saved the chunk as a schematic in MCedit, then removed and regenerated the chunks. I tried both placing the schematic into the chunk, and leaving the chunk untouched, but it still caused a crash when entering the chunk. These chunk errors have been cropping up in a lot of places, and it simply isn't feasible to constantly move people from the chunks, or block out the chunks to prevent people from getting into them. We have an actual, technical need for a reset. It sucks to have to lose the builds we've made, but it really isn't going to be so bad when you can keep all of your items. It's just a matter of rebuilding. Poj still plays. He and TrueCyan build in the same area, so they're both not able to get online. The problem isn't limited to them, either. It can happen to anyone who happens to wander into a bad chunk. (BTW, the chunk errors are not related to mobs. Some of them I know are related to the BoP mod generating structures that have glitched, and others I have not been able to definitively say what the cause is. Maybe related, maybe not). Trust me, we'll all be a lot better off once we reset.

It sounds like the issue is either that your character is in a bad chunk (if you're able to connect to the server, but it doesn't let you move like it is lagging you out), or that your modpack needs to be updated (if you actually can't connect at all to the server). The latter is the easiest fix, so just double check that your version is 1.0.12a. If it is, change back to an older verson, let the pack update to it, and then change back to 1.0.12a and let it update again. If it is a problem with when you connect, I will move you to a new spot, and that should fix it.

Took the server down to deal with some corrupted chunks. Hoping to have it back up soon.

Hi! You haven't been rejected, we're just not accepting anyone new at the moment. We might be soon, though! We'll let you know! Thanks to everyone who has shown interest in joining the server!

Hey, you're still whitelisted! You might not have the up-to-date IP though. I think we've gone through some changes since you last played. Just connect to the server by setting the IP address to play.geo-craft.com and you'll be back on. You might have to move some files on your system to have your map be as it was on the old IP address, but just let me know if you want and I'll give you instructions on how to do it (just takes a minute). It's good to have you back!

Can you send me a copy of your launcher's log? I'll try to help you figure out what is causing it. The log will be in your appdata folder under technic and the AotBT modpack. There should be detailed instructions of getting the logs on the forums. Just send them to me in an email or post them on pastebin.

Just another update about the server. It is still down. I am still in contact with the provider, trying to get as much information as possible. We'll be moving to a different provider soon, most likely a dedicated machine. Sorry about the downtime, and hopefully it won't be too much longer! DesktopFolder, Trent365 , and MikeSteg - I will add you to the whitelist as soon as it is back up!

I've been talking to the hosting provider, and almost all of their servers are still down. I'm keeping a close eye on the status, and I'll post here when it is back up. They say they are hoping to have everything back up today, but until they're back up there's nothing I can do either. Sorry!

No, the company who the server is rented from is experiencing an outage. They will hopefully be back up soon. We'll let you know here when it is back up. Sorry!

I've also seen this happen with the minions mod, where they drop a ton of items for some reason. It's caused peoples' clients to crash if they enter the chunk, and can cause the server to crash too.
