Creating servers compatible with the technic platform can be a little complicated. I would download a tekkit server, as a template, then replace the mods and config folder with the ones from your pack. This just ensures that everything else is set up right.

I need more information. What Java argument, more details on what happens with the window please. Also Tech Specs and mod List.

It would be good if you could add the server folder into a dropbox or something, give me the link so I could download it try to run it myself and find the problem.

Something like this certainly does exist. It's called "Modify World" and it comes with permissionsEX. The only thing is its a pain because you have to write a permission node for every single thing each rank can craft, and add more or less depending on the rank.

What I would do is simply download a tekkit server from the platform, then go into your modpack directory, copy the "mods" folder and replace it with the one in the tekkit server. That should work.

Use whichever Linux OS uses less RAM, so you can allocate more to the server without having many problems. (I believe that it's Debian). Anyway I don't know much about RAID.
