I remember back when I used to own a PS3 and would play some games online, most of it was filled with vulgar 10- year olds swearing because you killed them, and insulting your dead mother and saying they slept with her isn't exactly the most mature way to go about insulting someone, especially since it's quite point blank rude and distasteful. Oh well...

I play a few games tbh, I guess the only thing solidly in my top games list would be Skyrim, I'm playing on a laptop so no good steam games for me I mostly spend my hours lurking around this cesspit of creativity and Youtube, my life has no other meaning until I go back to school. EDIT: On Diablo, I've actually never played it. Anyone got any kinda recommendation to give me?

I'm by no means a computer genius but pre logic dictates that when I press button X I want the output to be from button X, not everything else other than button X ¬_¬ Also really twisted my balls when it decided to edit the Hosts file and give me Minecraft Fatal Error 4, thank fuck for google :D

I don't disagree with copyright, I really don't. The idea behind it imo is solid, you come up with something great, you take credit for it. However, i do disagree with the way everyone wants to implement it, and I wholeheartedly agree that the system in general needs a revamp. Most of this shit is caused either by people wanting drama or people thinking they know the law, when they really don't. I fully support the Open Source Foundation and everything the GNU License stands for, and everything Linux stands for.

I agree, most of their arguments are either based upon flawed logic and they spout their opinions as fact or misinformation. I don't know whether to be angry or sad tbh. EDIT: I keep reading all this talk of Kaker and the like using mods without the permission of the modders, I haven't been following Technic/Tekkit since the beginning but from what i can see this isn't really an issue, they clearly provide support for the mods as well as direct links to the donations page of the modders, I don't see why it's such a big issue because the Technic team take no money from this pack, and host this site and the downloads page at a loss. &gt;_&gt;

Okay, so after reading the BTW Joke thread and having a good few lols I've realised something fairly serious and saddening. People really seem to hate other people assisting them. Is it because they feel they should be completely independent? Do they feel they should be the sole name in everyone's head for their hard work and effort? No, they're quite simply pretentious and self centred. The biggest thing that really gets me about these people, is that they spend so much of their time working on a particular thing, and then when someone else distributes it (Giving them credit, this is NOT in any way to be confused with me condoning plagiarism; at all!) they go batshit crazy complaining to both other modders and fans alike. It's downright fucking mad. What's more, is when they try and cover their asses with obvious bullshit. The mod-pack never had the permission of any of the mod-authors involved to include their mods and kaker has absolutely refused to remove any mod at an author's request. It's basically come across as a big FU to modders from the start, as did the the Yogscast promoting it, and I'm not the only one that took it that way (although I may be the most vocal in speaking out about it).&quot; Firstly, even if Kaker did not have permission, as long as Kaker cites the sources the mods are from, provides a link to said modders thread and says in an obvious way that it was created by said modder and provides some kind of support for that modder, there is no way that it's bad. I fail to see the problem with making a modpack and then providing a way for people to see whom made it, as well as see how great it is when combined with other mods. Secondly, how can a video spotlight containing YOUR mod, promoting YOUR mod, and even giving YOUR mod popularity be a big fuck you to modders? That's like saying someone drinking a can of Pepsi in a video game is a big fuck you to the company behind Pepsi. It's purely advertising, that is all. This is just a short rant, really. I'm unbiased in this scenario, I use Technic every now and then but it isn't my main use of minecraft (It runs pretty slow on my laptop and it's in more a &quot;Modern, Industrialised&quot; direction. Whereas I personally prefer a RPG Style Minecraft. (Well, more medieval than RPG style since I've tried that ridiculous mod out and I personally despise it) However, without this modpack I would be completely oblivious to ComputerCraft and RedPower. I just think FlowChild's personal attacks on Eloraam are stupid, arrogant, and very obnoxious. He's purely jealous of her skill from what I can see, if anyone has any proof to debunk my opinion, please share it. I'd rather be embarrassed and informed than self righteous and misinformed. My quick question is that I've read the Forestry modder deliberately broke compatibility with Technic, is this true?

Hey, does anyone know how I can get Minecraft working with steam? It's just cos I wanna be able to talk in steam with minecraft because the overlay is nice ;3

Heh, I remember when I first posted there because I was too stupid to google &quot;Technic Forums&quot; I was quickly shot down by this one guy saying that my minecraft should burn because I was using mods, and apparently the vanilla MC is all he needs. Of course man, 'cause you're so hardcore.... I pretty much like all the discussion boards I've encountered for Minecraft, because they always give me a chuckle. The Technic board by far however, has to be the funniest, hell you guys even state at the top of the board index mostly a bunch of asshat prima donnas. I love you all xD
