    PermSize does nothing on java 8+, i posted to state as such a few months ago but my thread recieved no attention at all.

    "-XX:PermSize" and "-XX:MaxPermSize" have been deprecated (and ignored) in Java 8, however intentionally raise a VM generation exception resulting in failure for the games to start when using Java 9. These settings have been replaced by the following, which should be used in place of these older flags.
