  1. Exactly as the title states, my modpack loads in Vanilla. I've narrowed down the problem, but have no idea how to fix it or why it's happening. Technic download info: NAME: Airship Warfare PICTURE: cow LINK: https://www.technicpack.net/modpack/tech10-lite.755661 Dropbox Download: https://www.dropbox.com/s/w02akrxnl1pn5gj/AirshipWars.zip?dl=1 MODS MCHeli Flans MetaWorlds Better FPS FastCraft The Spice of Life Journeymap Inventory Tweaks Treecapitator The Issue - and the *fix* 1. The Modpack loads in vanilla 2. I look in the folder for the modpack (Located in a file called Tech-10-Lite) 3. I delete 'modpack.jar' and replace it with forge 953 (9.11.1.953) - I do this because modpack.jar and minecraft.jar are the same size (perhaps they are the same?) 4. Load up game - it works! 17 mods loaded This is odd, because the zip file has forge 953 (9.11.1.953) in the bin renamed modpack.jar Thanks for any help!
  2. @plowmanplow Alright, thanks for the help
  3. @plowmanplow I still have not figured it out. I've tried for many hours. I tried with forge and with cauldron nothing works.
  4. @plowmanplow I used the installer because there was a manual option, but the download does not include the libraries. It doesn't look like there is a library download. Do you know why Technic needs the libraries? The Minecraft launcher does not...
  5. @plowmanplow Okay, I see that in the logs now, thanks for pointing that out. What I don't get about this is that it worked fine without the library on the minecraft client. Why is this? One more thing - I downloaded the metaworlds installer for both 1.6.4 and 1.7.2. The 1.6.4 installer created metaworlds libraries folder while the 1.7.2 installer did not. I will attempt to get the library folders for 1.7.2 though. Can I use the 1.6.4 libraries for 1.7.2? And what if I cannot find the libraries? Is there no hope in that situation?
  6. 1. I made a folder called 'modpack' 2. I create four folders in the modpack folder. I call these 'bin', 'mods', 'config', and 'coremods' 3. I download forge version 10.12.0.1047 universal. It's outdated, but it's what I need for my mods (metaworlds) 4. I put the forge universal .jar file in the bin folder and renamed it 'modpack' 5. I copied the mods from my minecraft client to the mods folder I just created - the mods are all compatible 6. I took the four files and used 7-zip to compress them to a zip folder entitled 'modpack.zip' 7. I uploaded the .zip file to dropbox 8. I added the dropbox link to the modpack on the technic website - I edited the link to look like the one posted below The client crashes as soon as I hit the play button. The modpack seems to download regularly; the directory in which it's installed looks fine. When I hit the 'play' button, the client instantly crashes. The launcher reappears and still says play at the bottom right. What have I done wrong? 7. @plowmanplow It has been fixed! Thanks for all your help!
  8. @plowmanplow Okay, so I: 1. Added a config folder complete with all the stuff from my Minecraft folder 2. Changed the dropbox link to: https://dl.dropboxusercontent.com/s/gbnampjadhar1a5/modpack.zip? 3. Updated the version - not quite sure if I did this properly, but let's assume I did because it doesn't seem complicated 4. Deleted the original modpack.jar and replaced (again I think) with the version of forge (9.11.1.953) I need I must be doing something wrong; what is it?
  9. @plowmanplow I will change the link, but may I ask why? Why doesn't it work without me changing it? And I'll also do the version thing. I'm away from home now. I'll attempt to do this stuff later tonight.
  10. @plowmanplow Okay, so I added the config folder, complete with all the files from the config of my Minecarft client. I also changed my modpack.jar folder to the forge universal. It still does not install. I click install, and the bar loads slowly. When it reaches the end, rather than the button changing from 'install' to 'play', it still says 'install'. I'm really lost now.
  11. @plowmanplow I need forge 9.11.1.953 for my mods to work. My mods for sure work, so why does it matter if they're not from legitimate sources? I have used these mods in my minecraft client. Some of these mods are out of date, but sometimes I have to use them so they will work with my forge version. I'll try all these things, then post an update.
  12. Found the right place this time! I hope... I have run in to some issues with my modpack, Age of Exploration - [AoE]. I have taken two approaches to uploading this pack. I'll list both of them, then state the problem each process faces. A. 1a. I made a folder called 'modpack' 2a. I create two folders in the modpack folder. I call these 'bin' and 'mods' 3a. I download forge version 9.11.1.953 universal. It's outdated, but it's what I need for my mods 4a. I put the forge universal .jar file in the bin folder and renamed it 'modpack' 5a. I copied the mods from my minecraft client to the mods folder I just created - the mods are all compatible 6a. I took the two files and used 7-zip to compress them to a zip folder 7a. I uploaded the .zip file to dropbox 8a. I added the dropbox link to the modpack on the technic website - I made sure the end says download=1 The client crashes as soon as I hit the play button. The modpack seems to download regularly; the directory in which it's installed looks fine. B. 1b. I made a folder called 'modpack' 2b. I create two folders in the modpack folder. I call these 'bin' and 'mods' 3b. I download forge version 9.11.1.953 universal. It's outdated, but it's what I need for my mods 4b. I created a new folder 5b. I opend the forge file in 7-zip then copied the contents into the new folder 6b. I used 7-zip to convert the new folder to a .jar file called 'modpack' ***The current contents of the bin folder is just the modpack.jar I just created*** 7b. I copied the mods from my minecraft client to the mods folder I just created - the mods are all compatible 8b. I took the two files and used 7-zip to compress them to a zip folder 9b. I uploaded the .zip file to dropbox 10b. I added the dropbox link to the modpack on the technic website - I made sure the end says download=1 The client loads, but in Vanilla. I looked in the directory - everything seems fine. The mistake may be very simple or small and it would help to have another set of eyes to look at it. I've been trying to fix this problem for around 8 hours. Sorry for any typos - it's late and I'm tired. The modpack that was uploaded using the B process is still up. 14. I don't know. I just hit the 'play' button on the technic launcher. Can you explain further? I'm new to making modpacks. I can make a video to better explain what's going on if it helps...
  15. I am making a custom modpack for my friends and myself to play with. I've made 2 modpacks on the technic platform (one of which is down temporarily - fixing after I deal with this one). I did everything correctly (I know this because I did it just as I did the other two modpacks). Anyway, I downloaded the modpack and ran it. It loaded in Vanilla. I tested it 10 times, and all 10, the same thing happened each time. Here is the modpack zip file (you'll have to manually click the download button) - https://copy.com/XRlpoHRIrF1ccGmE I made certain it's a public file and everything, so it's not that. I looked in the folder, and there was a mods folder with all the mods. Here is a link to the file (C:\Users\Nick\AppData\Roaming\.technic\modpacks): https://copy.com/Z2rD9pdvhGGcR2hw If you need logs, just tell me which logs you need, and I'll copy/paste them in. Thanks.
