  1. could be fun to see this coming soon - and since things tend to speed up with time - we might see the mods getting updated shortly. I have noticed 1.3.1 works so much faster on my pc, hence my hopes for the same in tekkit. I have been asking the same question myself if anyone has ETA of this -so stop flaming around like kids - as I think 90% of forum users has this question in mind. we cant change it nor speed it up, but I have noticed some vanilla mods already put up either 1.3.1 vesrion, suggested ETA, or just marked the thread ''update to 1.3.1'' in progress. Expectations are as much important as results - after all mods are done for fans of mods, all the work time contribution and creativity is done for fans like you or me. Every decent developer/modder knows that without respect back for ppl who support their creations - they would be sitting back in basement with their ideas. fingers crossed - hope for the best, and encourage devs with donations and support.
  2. I play on LAN -I'm fairly new to tekkit idea... and until I get better pc, Hardly see much point playing on servers - my settings are very low and machines takes a lot of CPU to compromise other ppl very advanced set ups... things should improve in October. Until then I have all mods ON - plus some extras I keep testing (and learning)
  3. I guess if all linked with gold pipes and nicely timed with redstone or manual switches could run and save on the coal/fuel - I recon there isnt any chest that send the redstone power when full? I have very simple set up of chest with diamond filters. Last one is a condenser with a diamond at matrix - so my overflows or leftovers are simply generated into EMC (I dont think i will ever need iron chest full of glass etc.) and I think if you have condenser full of stack of diamonds - you can allow yourself to drop few - im sure you would be checking on diamonds often - at least at early stages before you brewing energy from 10 nuclear reactors and HV solar arrays :)
  4. Can I transfer full stacks in Buildcraft? Or this is something that can be only done via Redpower2? As per dropping issue? What your Buildcraft setup - i have autosorting warehouse but never get anything dropped and i have quarry circuit/auto macerating and farms pipelines implemented?
  5. This has to wait till I get PC upgrade... not sure If i would be able to run many fun modes with advanced graphics on my CoreDuo 1.6 But I think this could be something great to do. I assume after 1.3 patch where SSP is server based - things will get much simpler in terms of SSP/SMP mod compabilities
  6. I agree would be awesome to have a sticky thread with lists of mods we can add without causing MC to crash. The problem would be obviously testing this and leaving updated info. We could do like a chart of all mods and list of check boxes if they support Forge or bukkit etc. If they are only SSP or SMP... The problem I see - there so many vanilla mods that would work for tekkit too, but devs are more orientated with classic minecraft rather than tekkit/technic. Ultimate resolution would be - since from 1.3 update it is possible to fetch the same texture pack as the server you are connected with - would be awesome to load same system onto servers and instead of list of mods displayed needed - server would supply us with the pack associated with server we are connecting to. Server side would have to do their homework and host both client and server side files.... However easy and nice it would be for us gamers... that would seriously harm the paid links and download count for devs (who do get profit that) - not to mention copyrights mess for hosting the files elsewhere.. But Its ideal solution for LAN servers - by my own experience I simply download file once and share it over USB stick across all clients.
  7. Tip from myself - make sure you always stick to the same versions of client (fogre client - forge server, bukkit client - bukkit server) I know its obvious but after downloading 100 different files loaders etc... you get confused at times. (i had few servers -bukkits and forge and vanilla on my drive). Setting up the server I found easy really, as long as you read the mod descriptions and compatibility. Dont use MC Patcher or similar- do manual minecraft.jar file replacement - I found many conflicts doing this that way.
  8. http://www.minecraftforum.net/topic/81771-v125-mo-creatures-v371-with-mohorses-donkeys-mules-zebras-zorses-and-extrabiomesxl-support/ You have installation there - basically you should be running forge server with the mods loaded on it. Add mod server version, and all mods listed for tekkit. (It does mean that you will create pretty much custom server with mods you want) rather than doing it through tekkit itself. I dont think Mocreatures is available through tekkit -bukkit server setup = therefore you must download all mods alone and put them back together - once done - simply back up minecraft.jar file for future use
  9. I got MoCreatures on my forge tekkit LAN - if you happen to get to the server with it - beware of the Ogre and build EVERYTHING out of basalt bricks. Comparing to Ogres, creepers are easy-peasy to deal with. So if you run your own sever there is no issues when you add MoCreatures at all, and after server side and client side update i got all running in no time.
  10. http://forums.technicpack.net/threads/so-you-got-yourself-a-tekkit-server.11260/ Wont answer most of your questions but i just had a read of that - and some things you can find useful
  11. I always get amused by flamed discussions! I'm new tho this forum (and Mc forums in particular) but I'm a Mod on quite popular website. I can assure that Mods and Admins tend to read past the 1st page regardless, plus they emails get spammed with notifications of new posts or members join the forums. Just give them time to get through all. Personal thought tho - I wish forums would let you hide the off topics comments (hide them by default) in thread and display only related to the actual thread (unless you click show all). But from my experience even tho it would make information seeking much easier, but it would raise multiple complains on why particular comment was set to not topic related (even tho it had 2-3 words related to it ) (and yes I know this post contradict the last part as its not related to Reis Map :)
  12. yup but entire process works similar really (at least if you run server yourself and since I'm at work I couldnt check on folders names for you (forgot how they are called hence the link) - I never did that with 3rd party as I have 3 pc's at home.
  13. Thanks for the find +1 I refrained from going to hikes to nether because of lag issues (my laptop is OOOLD) in regards to gender - couldnt help but laugh... sorry guys/girls but I did - for some reason I love reading others arguing about stuff that has no meaning at all - its 4am and I run out of entertainment and I'm not allowed to have MC at work :)
  14. It may seem lame solution - but taming ocelot always did it for me plus as precaution (I use Mo creatures) i cover stuff with basalt brick (blast resistant) and if any accidental explosions happen I only replace a pipe or two from inputs areas. I like my machines to work behind the walls so I dont have to watch and listen to the noise:)
  15. I had once 2 copper ingots with different IDs - annoying when storing or auto sorting this thing, and im not sure how i got in possession of both kinds - but i simply used the condenser from EE to get them into other thing (obsidian) and back to ingots you desire - altho both kinds were working fine for crafting cables etc
