  1. Thanks for all your replies. But even after starting a new map and only 4 players online, CPU usage is still at 75%? I even disabled Computercraft.
  2. Launcher/pack Version: Tekkit 2.1.1 Operating System: CentOS 6 (64 bit) Version of Java: Java 64 bit (Don't know exactly. Hosted on a dedicated server) Description of Problem: I am experiencing 100% CPU usage with just 30 players on the server even though the server has an Intel Core i5 (Quad Core at 2.67 GHz) processor. The server is only used for this single server. The server also has 10 GB of RAM allocated and the map is only 4000x4000 blocks large. Error Messages: N/A Link to pastebin of log: N/A
  3. Get the server owner to delete your player.dat file.
  4. Thanks, this Fix worked great for me and I can still place engines.
  5. Used Midas Gold to convert quarries into sponge blocks. I then set up an admin shop on the server where you could sell this sponge block for Credits.
  6. "Items Drops" were enabled when this happened.
  7. The server already has around a hundred quarries placed. This would only prevent more to be placed. How do I stop these existing ones, or remove these existing ones from the game?
  8. All you can do is run //remove item -1 regularly. Or disable quarries if you don't want to do that regularly. The command deletes all the items on the ground and requires you to have World Edit installed (Tekkit comes bundled with w/e)
  9. This might be caused by cable loops. On my server, only the client crashes after logging in for about 5 seconds. Within that time you can break all Tekkit blocks (it's a tedious process, crashing, restarting Tekkit, logging in, breaking, crashing). Or, you could download the map and use McEdit to cut out the Crash Zones.
  10. Launcher/pack Version: Tekkit 2.1.1 Operating System: Don't know. Server is hosted by Beastnode. Version of Java: Don't know. Server is hosted by Beastnode. Description of Problem: When breaking blocks they sometimes disappear. Eg. when breaking copper cables, you won't receive them. Error Messages: N/A Link to pastebin of log: N/A.
  11. Re: Tekkit mods don't play well with Towny? If you are trying to give [buildcraft] permission to build try opping [buildcraft] (with brackets).
  12. What I'm also interested in is whether other server hosters are experiencing this problem too?
  13. Lol, disabled chunk loading blocks a long time ago :P
  14. Well I have 3 GB of RAM allocated to the server, of which only 1GB is used.
  15. Does anyone have any tips for reducing tick lag on the server? Currently my server only has 8 Ticks per second.
  16. How would you go about disabling only quarries, but not the Buildcraft mod itself. I have tried adding the fakeplayer [buildcraft] to a group with no building permissions, but this conflicted with Towny and caused the server to crash.
  17. Personally, Beastnode has been working great for me.
  18. Just delete your lastlogin file in your .techniclauncher folder. Hope this helps.
  19. If you have Tekkit 2.0, all plugins which support 1.1-R4 should work fine. I can confirm that WorldGuard works for my server.
  20. I got the same problem and have no idea what's causing it.
  21. Wow, it works, thanks a lot :)
  22. I am currently using Towny on my server. It allows players to make their own "towns" and protect their land. If you are not added to the town, you can't build.
  23. IF you don't want to worry about all the configuration stuff, you should use a dedicated host instead. I currently use Beastnode and have a 42 slot Tekkit server running without any problem, and their rates are affordable as well.
