  1. Sorry for the downtime guys. We're back online now. FlamingHobo98
  2. There have been a few tweaks to the server so it should run a little bit smoother now. None of which really affect the gameplay, apart from the fact that the tank carts have been disabled to prevent duping. Thanks FlamingHobo98
  3. Hey guys, the server is back up now, and fully operational on the VPS. I thank you for your patience during the transfer. FlamingHobo98
  4. The server is only whitelisted while I get everything in order, it'll all be exactly the same as before, so you don't have to worry.
  5. Ok, sorry for the late reply, seems my email alerts don't seem to be working anymore... What's going on is the server is down because I am moving it to a VPS, but its proving to be more problematic than I expected. I hope you can be as patient as I can, as the end result should mean that we no longer have any lag. Thanks for your patience. FlamingHobo98
  6. I run my server from 1.5Gb of Ram and its hosted, and there isn't much lag (if any). I'll give this new release a try Thanks for the help
  7. Hi there Tekkit Gurus, I run a 15 slot Tekkit Classic server, and I'm thinking of upgrading to the new Tekkit My questions are: - What is the minimum amount of RAM I would need to have 15 people on at once with no lag? - Are there any tips you can give regarding disabling certain mods, banning items etc. so that the server is as secure, stable and lag free as possible. Thanks a bunch guys
  8. Thanks, i think it did the trick
  9. I've also noticed a few people being able to do this on my server. I have the config of NEIServer.cfg all set to OP so they shouldnt be able to spawn items... but they can. Please give us a heads up on any suggestions... Thanks.
  10. Thanks for having an interest! I'll keep an eye out for you and see if you have what it takes I would have more slots, but i'm afraid I cant afford more RAM to accommodate the extra slots. FlamingHobo98

  12. I realise we did just have a small amount of downtime, but this was beyond our control. The problem has been resolved now. Thanks for your patience. FlamingHobo98
  13. We did just have a small bit of downtime due to some DNS errors, so it wouldn't let you join. Its fixed now. FlamingHobo98 edit: Same has happened again. Join the server with the ip: 88.198.161.21 Will hopefully be fixed soon. It is out of our control at the moment. Thanks for your patience
  14. I realise there has been a lot of lag lately, and i am working on finding out the cause. Thanks for your patience FlamingHobo98
  15. May I point out, this is a duplication thread. The other one is here: http://forums.technicpack.net/threads/fun-3-1-2-sapphirecraft-pve-anti-grief-80-slots-minigames-builders-server.40873/
  16. I think its a problem with DropBox and the Technic website working together. I just uploaded the file to a different site and it seems to have worked perfectly fine. Try uploading it somewhere else that uses direct links. Hope it helps.
  17. Hello again, My modpack was all going good but then this morning when I tried to get the modpack on a different computer, it wouldn't download as its supposed to. I've also replicated this on my main computer where it worked fine before, but now it wont work at all. The problem is, it does all the minecraft update checks blah blah, but then it gets to downloading my modpack and it does it instantly and doesn't actually download it properly. I can download it in a browser perfectly fine, here is my direct link: http://dl.dropbox.com/u/25162572/XenBoxModPack-0.2.8.zip I've looked in the .technic folder in the xenbox folder (name of my modpack) but there is no modpack.jar in the bin folder or any mods. I've tried resetting my internet and restarting etc but it still doesn't work. Please help!
  18. Ok, so I kept messing around with it and I used my laptop instead to make the modpack.jar... i still used WinRar and it seemed to work fine... I used this for a while but then needed to make a new one. I used WinRar on my main PC and it didnt work... I then used the native windows 8 file compressor and it worked like a charm... You called it Kiwii! Hope this helps somebody else if they are having trouble
  19. Three isn't a log because I dont think forge has loaded at all. This is the link I used for forge:http://files.minecraftforge.net/minecraftforge/minecraftforge-universal-1.5.1-7.7.1.611.zip edit: I did all of those steps but it still didnt work
  20. I thought it might be to do with the fact that you have to delete META-INF in the minecraft.jar but i'm not sure if the Technic Launcher does that automatically...
  21. Hello Technic Gurus! I'm sorry in advance if I break any rules or do anything wrong with this post. I'm having a really big problem with trying to make a modpack. First I followed a video (This video to be precise) and followed it to the letter but when I come to add my custom modpack and launch it... it goes into Vanilla minecraft. Now i know what you're thinking now, that I should have looked around more for solutions but I have tried for about 12 hours to get this to work. I made sure my download was a direct link from dropbox because when i put it into the browser window it downloaded it straight away with no button to click on etc. I also tried using multiple download sites like mediafire and uploading it to my weebly website and copying the download link. No change at all. Next I tested the mods by putting them in the minecraft folder and putting the ForgeModLoader files into minecraft.jar... This worked exactly as expected but still wouldn't work from the download... Then, after searching around a bit I saw that copying the modpack.jar from tekkit lite worked for them so I tried that.. still nothing. This is my current mod pack zip file that doesn't work at all... https://dl.dropbox.com/u/25162572/XenBoxMod.zip And the Technic page for it: http://www.technicpack.net/modpack/details/xenbox-custom-modpack.51475/ I'm pretty close to giving up, sadly. Is there anything you could suggest or anybody that would be willing to help me either on here or over Skype that would be willing to give me a hand because I would really like to get into making my own mod packs so I can pick and choose like a kid in a sweet shop. Thanks for any help you can offer. SOLUTION - Worked for me and another person so may work for you... Worth a shot! If you are using winrar, dont use it... instead, use the Compressor that Windows has built in. When you select all the folders, instead of right clicking and clicking 'Add to Archive', select 'Send to' and then 'Compressed (Zipped) Folder'. When creating the modpack.jar, simply rename the zipped folder to 'modpack.jar' and click yes when it tells you that it may not work. I hope this works for you, as it worked for me, because I was getting really frustrated.
