Yogscast's main video showcasting is Tekkit, they have 5 Seperate channels: Honeydew and Xephons, guesting Lividcoffee Lividcoffee, guesting one of the railcraft bros people, forgot his name Sips_ and Sjin Rythian and Zoeya Hannah and Nilsey And I believe inthelittlewood and martin are trying to do some tekkit videos on the server too.
-
Yogscast does that already? :P

I've rather avoided using the forum cause the moderators there tend to be juvenille, unfriendly and unprofessional.

Did he get his hand slapped?

Forestry has been made incompatible with Tekkit on purpose. The developer of the Forestry mod has included malicious coding to crash the client when the mod detects Tekkit.
-
IC2 Items are broken in the current build of Tekkit. sct is working on the issue.
-
Spoken to Sct. It maybe a config file issue and he's looking into it.
-
Back up your map onto SSP and try it there, if it doesn't lag, it's a server issue. If it does lag, it's a map issue.
-
Recipe mode has been fixed and an update has been deployed, however there are no recipes for IC2.

I edited my post to account for the hasty reply to the OP's issue. Sounded very familiar as the first few posts suggested that was the issue and I was too eager to offer help. After posting that fix I went onto read after I spotted the word 'Timers'. Excessive use of Redpower and redstone is damaging towards a server in stability, and should be used sparingly. Otherwise I would have a small box with a redpower computer infront of me, and myself controlling every action within my industry. Just now I use it to Iris my Netherportal and open/close my main gate :P

If you have issues in selecting ports, simply go to wiki and type the word Port and a number, this will tell you if that port is commonly used and if it is generally used by a specific function. For server hosting Use the ports as these do not have any uncommon or common uses that is found in everyday computers. 25565-25570

Even though this is not the issue at hand, though posted as a reason for the overflow, I'd like to suggest a fix for item blocks filling the map and causing overflow issues. To fix overflow simply do this: Take the server map folder and place it into your client single player map folders. Open the game and go directly into inventory and to options. Select the option that disables blocks being formed on the ground when dropped. Go back to the map and proceed to the point where you had the overflow, this should no longer lag if you fixed the issue. Deactivate the source of the moving blocks in the pipe that caused the overflow issue. reactivate blocks in the inventory menu. exit game and move your folder back into the server folders. Relaunch and all shall be fine. Consider telling your users to consider being careful when using quarries or recylers etc.

Is there anyway to autojoin a server after disconnecting?
Loh replied to waldo194's topic in Tekkit Classic Discussion
Perhaps someone could write a program to go with their client that will auto-attempt to reconnect instead of patronising the OP? -
Only our dear Foresty mod developer really hates Technic, afterall, putting Malicious software into his mod to break Tekkit if it has Forestry inside it. ^^'

1>I like that, but Forestry ignores the basic rules for Minecraft mod distribution 2>Then his project is nullified and Forestry becomes Abandonware.

I dropped Sengir a message, so we can look forward to having Forestry back soon :)
-
Yes, I have developed open source software before, Courtesy is all that is needed, maybe or not if Sengir did ask before or not, still an appoligy then to ask again should be sufficent. You cannot own software that is freely distributed unless you purchase and register a liscense which requires a permission to be made. The forestry mod is licensed under; Public domain software – the copyright has expired, the work was not copyrighted, or the author has released the software onto the public domain (in countries where this is possible). Since public-domain software lacks copyright protection, it may be freely incorporated into any work, whether proprietary or free. Also considering when a developer creates a mod, all rights and privilidges go towards the game developer, in this case, Mojang. This happens upon releasing the mod, so once the mod is released, the ownership is signed off to Mojang.
-
Just had a few nosing about why the forestry mod was removed and found that the developer was upset by it being added to the technic and tekkit packs. There are many rules in Open Source distribution (which Minecraft Mods, WoW Mods, Spring RTS Mods and other games which must abide to), one of them is to freely distribute, remain price free and say Yes to whomever wants to use it, no excuses, this includes Mod Packs. The developer of Forestry does not own Forestry Mod, he just develops it, only credit he can take is the actual development of the mod.
