So I am getting a new computer, my friend said i should get a cheap graphics card because it is cheaper to cool but I want a GTX Titan or GTX 690 so I don't need to make costly upgrades to my computer for many years.
Any thoughts?
You're friend clearly does not play games.A graphics card is one of the most important parts that determines how well your computer plays most games.

there is no manual install. Use the installer.

This board is for asking HOW to do things, not asking people to do it for you. There is a mod request board for things like this.

Actually, I tried to join a server earlier and it was marked 1.6.2 on the server list and would not let me log on. Know what might cause this?
FYI I'm on a Mac and I checked that I've got the latest build 1.0.5.
PS why are there Youtube videos saying "How to install Hexxit 1.6.2"? Are these people just stupid or are they putting 1.6.2 in the title to get more views?
most likely. There might be a homemade port floating around, but i wouldn't trust its stability/usability. There is no official 1.6.2 hexxit.

You could try installing the launcher to a program files directory that doesn't contain your name.

I'd use the first link under "last successfull artifacts".
Unless there are version specific bugs, its likely to have the most compatible plugins/mods.
