Did you use the EU reader on the cables, or on the actual generator while it is charging its internal storage? Check any transformers/storage devices too, took me several tries to learn that batboxes/mfe's/mfsu's have the output on the special side, but transformers have it on the input side.

Teleporters are supposed to work on the three blocks above them, meaning that theoretically you could cover them with an entire block. Never tried it myself though.

I've had the same issue, and poking around on Google has revealed that the EE pedestal does not work in Tekkit SMP, for the most part, it does still work occasionally or partially (swiftwolfs rending gale arrows appear, but do no damage for instance).

I run a small server for a friend and myself, and we recently decided to colonize the nether. All is going well (quantum suits make this too easy) except we still have a pigmen problem in our building. The floor is a layer of construction foam, with a platform of the redpower cover blocks, both smoothstone and cobblestone, and we still have an issue with pigmen spawning. Logic would dictate that these are non-solid blocks and the pigmen shouldn't be able to spawn, does the game recognize them as solid?
