  1. I wasn't insulting at all. Just correcting him.
  2. Great job ignoring what I said and telling wrong information. Not all SpoutPlugin required plugins depend on Spoutcraft. Some of them just use the libary and they will work fine. A example is this plugin by a player of my server: http://dev.bukkit.org/server-mods/hidenames/ You need SpoutPlugin to hide the names but Spoutcraft is optional to see the player skins.
  3. SpoutPlugin DOES work. Like mentioned above there are plugins requiring the Spout libary, that don't require Spoutcraft. These plugins will work.
  4. You can't for the simple reason that the "Tekkit client" is a modified vanilla client. It's not Spoutcraft. You can try but nothing that requires Spoutcraft to be used will work - it's common sense. Of course there are some plugins just using the SpoutPlugin API without requiring Spoutcraft. You can use these plugins ;)
  5. There are 100's of posts now about protection not working. Don't even bother messing around with other protection plugins or anything that requires reading the block placement event. It's a big problem everybody is having, it's a known issue.
  6. The LAUNCHER (the thing that downloads the content) is a fork of Spoutcraft. There it ends. Tekkit does not work with Spout and from what I've been reading it won't be possible either. I see tekkit as a cross solution anyway combining the "dirty" modding of modloader with a custom client to download the files, until Spout releases and reached it's full capabilities that makes mods like IC or buildcraft possible.
  7. I strongly advice against using GroupManager. Use PEX instead! It's working, it's easy, it's fast, it has ingame commands. What else do you need? Try it!
  8. It just would be nice to hear a official statement on that topic.
  9. Open: plugins/Towny/settings/config.yml find bypass_version_check: 'false' change to bypass_version_check: 'true' And try using other Towny versions if that doesn't help. I also recommend updating Tekkit.
  10. Re: Is there a way to properly protect an area/chunks/spawn ? Same problem :/
  11. Launcher/pack Version: 2.11 Operating System: Ubuntu Server 10.4 Version of Java: 1.7 Description of Problem: Whatever protection plugin I use, I can't prevent users from placing blocks. Tried it with WorldGuard, ChunkOwn, Towny and Factions. They can prevent users from breaking but not from placing. Can't figure out the problem source, trying for hours :-\ Thanks in advance.
