how did this server post even get approved

it is probably best to avoid this server if you want to actually experience tekkit. the main issue plaguing this server right now is inconsistent service. it is whitelisted right now (either they are doing maintenance or this server post is now in the wrong forum). the other issue is the management of the server (from owners to admins to moderators). the owners and admins might be fine but they are rarely on to fix the issues created and stemming from the moderators. these said moderators are constantly dealing with issues of miscommunication about the rules. is dark matter armor banned? are the tools banned? the server post claims that they are but the rules in game say otherwise. then you have the issue where there are moderators who have no business being in the position. they won't field questions about the rules and if you persist they mute you and claim you werent obeying staff. i didnt realize that there were totalitarian tekkit servers out there (guess that is what happens when there are 12 year olds at the helm). this issue of (badmins) could stem from the fact that the owner literally sells the positions. so when you take your moms credit card you can lord it over the people just trying to have a clear and concise view of the rules. a clear example of this was when there was a question about the gem of eternal density (EE ruins servers in so many ways). it is a component of 2 items, the void ring and the gravity greaves. those are both clearly banned items on the rules and website. the moderator (a bad one) claimed that because it was used to craft banned items, it too should be banned. if that were true then all of the components should be banned. it should be said that those banned items arent even craftable. overall this server left me with a very negative experience and i hope it doesn't come off of that whitelist so no one else has to play here and experience bad people. p.s. one guy who was trying to pay for this admin spot paid in full but the owner claimed he didn't pay anything and promptly banned him for asking questions about it. talk about taking the money and running. (20 pounds)

It means that you can hunt players and monsters to earn Industrial Credits or you can craft them yourself using the standard recipe. These can be traded to other players or sold to the “bank” for coins. These coins are then used to buy a multitude of items in the various shops at the safe zone town, Last Stand. Last Stand showcases the efforts of a talented builder and sets the theme for the server, a dystopian future where nuclear war has ravaged the land. This city is the only safe refuge on the server where pvp is disabled and you are safe from mobs. It also has the rules/tips board, jail, shops, and hidden caves to explore in the neighboring mountains. Badlands is where your journey begins; build up a huge economic fortune and sell it to other players at shrewd prices or don your diamond armor and hunt players with your musket. The choice is yours. You transport between these two worlds (Badlands and Laststand) using the plugin Stargate. Not only can you go between worlds, including the nether, but you can warp around the map using it as well. BANNED ITEMS/MODS •EE •Nano/Quantum •Nanosaber •Computer Craft is restricted (see website for details) First and foremost, EE is disabled. We feel that it creates an unfair advantage and imbalance for not only pvp but in the economy as well. If you feel this is false, please feel free to post a valid argument here and I will be sure to make it a lively discussion. Nano armor and quantum armor are also disabled for this same reason. It makes you immune to damage unless you are afk for long extended periods of time. The nanosaber is also disabled for its quick and lethal damage. Computer Craft just needs to be approved by a mod/admin because of the malicious code that can be written. THE WEBSITE/ TUTORIALS On the website is a tutorial for the stargate plugin. It will take you to wherever you set the destination and you can even network together multiple gates. The website also offers forums and a place to request codes/turtles/etc from computer craft. There is also a place to donate. The donations don’t give anyone too much of an imbalance, just a few things of convenience, a title, etc. Go check it out and keep the server owner happy. PICTURES A word about Last Stand and Badlands, Last Stand was largely constructed by hand either with world edit or block by block. Anything you see in the Badlands was probably built legitimately, all of the admins/mods play legit. There are instances where we test things out and forget to tear them down though.

Just because I think servers live or die on good forum posts, This server has been pretty good the 2 days its been up. I have a relatively good ping and the tick rate is pretty high. There is next to no lag (barring certain lag inducing situations). The admins frequently ask if anyone needs help and are quick to catch anything that may go wrong, also there are plenty of them on at any one time. I like that the difficulty is set to hard, it really puts survival back into SMP. The other players seem to be pretty chatty as well. All this considered, this is probably the open server to be on right now.

IGN: sunnyjim99 Reason for wanting to become a member: I want to play on a good open server with EE enabled. This server has that and little lag, so far. Why should we accept you: You should accept me because I have experience with tekkit, and don't appreciate griefing. I hope to build some large machines that I have been planning for the release of tekkit 3. I'm an older member of MC at 23 and should hopefully be a good member of the server.
