I'd be interested in joining you, but my laptop charger crapped out last weekend, so I won't be able to play for awhile. Also, I intended for my server to be a teamwork server, so we wouldn't have to worry about griefers.

I used to listen to the Sarcastic Gamer Blue show, and I went to go check up on it and start listening to it again, but the site said it was moved to another host. There were no links to their site on SG, nor could I find anything on Google. If anyone knows where the show went, I would really appreciate a link.

If anyone who has tried to get a small server going, but no one has responded, I am serious about wanting to play on a no-plugin server with 2-5 people who will be able to play on the weekends.Send me a PM or just reply here if you are interested.

So that's all the voxelbox is? Plugins?

I meant how servers can reccommend a texture pack and Minecraft will automatically download and install it. I actually use forge right now.

I believe so too, mostly because there hasn't been any mention of it since 1.3's release.

Well, if it is a decent api, it will encourage way more modded servers. (also, servers might one day be able to use automatically installing mods, like what has been done with texture packs. [i know, unlikely, but would still be incredibly cool.])

What I'm most exited about is the modding API.

I'll be available this weekend (but I run on half a gig of RAM so I don't know if we would get any footage on my side) and have wanted to do something like this since joining my first vanilla server! Also, my ign is "greatcamo".

Thanks! That really clears things up. I had been using the default IPV4 from ipconfig instead of the one assigned to the server.

would that be the IP to use to connect to my server, or would this cause a conflict of the IP trying to connect with itself? Also, just thought of this, wouldn't other clients be able to connect to the server using "localhost"?

I have my own server runing off of my pc, but I need to know what server settings or program I can use to allow others on the same wireless network to join because my default IP adress doesn't let them connect. EDIT: I can still connect using "localhost" as the IP adress.
