  1. Resolved. I just deleted the .techniclauncher folder in %appdata% (Windows 7) and relaunched, whereupon it downloaded everything again and I'm fine now. One thing to note, I should have backed up my texture packs.
  2. Last night my computer shut itself down and installed updates while I was dead asleep, so I'm not sure what got patched... I could swear I had auto-update shut off but... Anyway, I don't think this belongs in the bug board as its an error, not a bug. This is what I get when I try to launch Tekkit now (was working fine yesterday): Minecraft has crashed! ---------------------- Minecraft has stopped running because it encountered a problem. --- BEGIN ERROR REPORT d9132588 -------- Generated 9/23/12 7:29 AM Minecraft: Minecraft 1.2.5 OS: Windows 7 (amd64) version 6.1 Java: 1.7.0_05, Oracle Corporation VM: Java HotSpot 64-Bit Server VM (mixed mode), Oracle Corporation LWJGL: 2.4.2 OpenGL: IntelĀ® HD Graphics Family version 3.0.0 - Build 8.15.10.2353, Intel java.lang.RuntimeException: RedPowerCore: BlockID 145 occupied by buildcraft.transport.LegacyBlock, autoAssign is disabled. at forge.MinecraftForge.killMinecraft(MinecraftForge.java:476) at eloraam.core.Config.getBlockID(Config.java:114) at RedPowerWorld.initialize(RedPowerWorld.java:609) at mod_RedPowerWorld.initialize(mod_RedPowerWorld.java:37) at mod_RedPowerMachine.initialize(mod_RedPowerMachine.java:57) at mod_RedPowerMachine.modsLoaded(mod_RedPowerMachine.java:25) at cpw.mods.fml.common.modloader.ModLoaderModContainer.postInit(ModLoaderModContainer.java:362) at cpw.mods.fml.common.Loader.postModInit(Loader.java:290) at cpw.mods.fml.common.Loader.initializeMods(Loader.java:629) at cpw.mods.fml.client.FMLClientHandler.onLoadComplete(FMLClientHandler.java:223) at net.minecraft.client.Minecraft.a(Minecraft.java:429) at net.minecraft.client.Minecraft.run(Minecraft.java:738) at java.lang.Thread.run(Unknown Source) --- END ERROR REPORT 9233dc37 ----------
  3. Well that makes a lot more sense. It sounded like something else entirely. How does one get access to that community? I'm not averse to digging into source code and making/contributing fixes myself.
  4. Distributing patches and fixes to popular software is a pretty usual thing. What's your objection/hesitation? If you're really advertising on MCP that you've got fixes if people jump through hoops for you (I haven't seen the thread) then that seems scammy as heck and frankly I'd never trust a "fix" distributed in that manner.
  5. CoderJ - that sounds SUPER fishy to me. aldrigviking - I'm using EE2ServerV1.4.6.5-bukkit-mcpc-1.2.5-r5.zip which I *think* is the latest MCPort version. It says in their wiki that multi-world problems are fixed, or seems to say that, but they're not. Transmute Tablets work a little more in that you can get them to display EMC in secondary worlds, but they have LOTS of issues and are basically useless. Is there some step I'm missing or am I wrong about the version? I would dearly like to fix this so if I'm being stupid I'm open to being told so. :-)
  6. IS there a known fix for transmutation tablets on servers with multiple worlds? I've read all the people saying that tables and tablets will always work only in the default world (the one specified in server.properties), but this just isn't true (or isn't anymore). On my server, pretty much vanilla Tekkit but with Essentials, PermissionsEx, WorldGuard/WorldEdit, and MultiVerse installed, the only world where Transmutation will work is the last one added to the multiverse. This doesn't work for us. What's particularly galling is that alchemy bags work in all worlds even though they, like tablets, store their data in a specific world's directory structure. What's the deal here? Is there a patch? A workaround? Anything concrete? Somebody with first hand experience and not "my friend did this once and he said it worked..."? I've spent around 18 hours this week, including two late nights, experimenting and trying to get this to work. Unavoidably, after a server restart, Tablets break in all but the most recently imported world. This would be fine if I knew of a clean way to remove/re-import my default world without screwing anything up (the one thing I have not tried), but ideally they'd work in all worlds and I'd use permissions to limit them if desired rather than have them limited by bugs. Thanks in advance!!
  7. I have the opposite problem. NONE of my redpower stuff makes any sound at all. The only sounds I seem to get are IC2 and Matmos and some default MC sounds. I don't hear the sizzle from lava touching water, either. Any ideas what's broken? I'd actually LIKE to hear my timers tick, then I'll remember I've set one up... ;-)
