Mac, launcher opens, but game will close when trying to play mod pack
Fido488 replied to Smartone99's question in Technic Launcher
Please read the top 3 pinned posts before posting a bug. Solution to your problem is here. If you deleted everything in your JavaVirtualMachine file make sure you put Java 1.6 back in there before you try it. http://forums.technicpack.net/threads/mac-os-x-nothing-starts-up-fml-setup-crash-temporary-launcher-fix.50354/ -

I try and launch Crafting Dead but it disappears?

I try and launch Crafting Dead but it disappears?
Fido488 replied to GoingCoen's question in Technic Launcher
Thanks but this is not very helpful and it is probably caused by the launcher not the modpack. Try this solution: http://forums.technicpack.net/threads/mac-os-x-nothing-starts-up-fml-setup-crash-temporary-launcher-fix.50354/ -
He's wrong. There is something else happening here that is not launcher related. Does it crash midway through a window that says FML is setting up your environment (or something along those lines)? If so see my post here: http://forums.technicpack.net/threads/mac-os-x-nothing-starts-up-fml-setup-crash-temporary-launcher-fix.50354/

Mac OS X - Nothing Starts Up - Temporary Launcher Fix
Fido488 replied to WhiteHeat's question in Technic Launcher
Are you using double clicking on the technic_launcher.command to start the launcher? Also, check the new thread. I added pictures. You might see where you went wrong. -

Mac OS X - Nothing Starts Up - Temporary Launcher Fix
Fido488 replied to WhiteHeat's question in Technic Launcher
You are probably experiencing a different issue than the one that this post seeks to fix. I don't really know how to help you with your problem from here. Did you completely remove technic from your computer before retrying the process? (IE going into Library/Application Support/techniclauncher) and moving it to the trash? (WARNING: DOING THIS WILL REMOVE ANY GAME SAVES YOU MAY HAVE FOR ANY OF THE MODS). Then try again. This may fix your problem. -
Mac OS X - Nothing Starts Up - Temporary Launcher Fix
Fido488 replied to WhiteHeat's question in Technic Launcher
Redownload the launcher. Your launcher probably wasn't fully downloaded when you moved it. Or, you didn't put it in the Technic file with the TechnicRun.command -

You are very welcome! -
Hahahahahah. Thoes are the formatting marks from the website. Make sure your TechnicRun.command file only has the text that is written in the "Code" box above. Also make sure to replace [FILE NAME GOES HERE] with whatever the name of the file you put everything into
-
You then click on the TechnicRun.command file to start the launcher from now on.

I can't get tekkit working no matter what.
Fido488 replied to Chrisitan's topic in Tekkit Discussion
Yea. You have to use chmod a+x to [filename] to get it to work Someone made it into an official thread for me. If you have any other issues post them here: http://forums.technicpack.net/threads/mac-os-x-nothing-starts-up-temporary-launcher-fix.49661/#post-411098 -
Mac OS X - Nothing Starts Up - Temporary Launcher Fix
Fido488 replied to WhiteHeat's question in Technic Launcher
TeaAndBuns: If you are on a mac that is older than Snow Leopard you should have a text edit that under format has an option like this That is what you want. This will fix the problem for 95% of people who have this problem If you don't have this make the file in text edit then save it and then rename the file manually by right clicking on it and giving it that name. Hope this helps.
