This made me wonder, can you use 1 chest and put the resources for that particular table?
-
I'd recommend using a 3rd party to host your server if it's within your budget.

The only other thing I can think of is firewall issues, but I assume you checked those. Sorry I couldn't help, maybe someone else will have better advice. Good luck.

Then check to see if your IP4 address changed, you may have to adjust your port forwarding. And what do you mean by "it didn't change, but if it did change, I already gave them the new ip". Do you have a new public IP or not? If not, you would have not needed to "already give them" the new IP.

Tekkit server error to do with Java

A path is what it sounds like, the path to the original file (C:\Users\OrionAD6\Desktop\Tekkit server 3.1.2 <--that's a path) Right click your launch.bat file, chose edit, and replace with this: java -Xmx1G -Xms1G -jar Tekkit.jar nogui pause If it already looks like that, then try this: "C:\Program Files\Java\jre7\bin\java" -jar -Xmx1G -XmX1G Tekkit.jar nogui pause -
Good plan.

Check to see if your public IP address changed. They are leased to you from your ISP and can change from time to time.

Ha! He definitely rage quit 4 minutes before starting this thread. Awesome sauce. Someone get this kid a sippy cup so he doesn't spill his milk.

You're welcome!

You need to run the solar panels into a battbox, MFE, or MFSU. Then you run cables to the machine. If you are going to set up a factory type auto loading/unloading system for the macerator, then you want the top and side open for pipes. I run power into the back of the machines, but that's just preference. Some people run them underneath because they like to hide the wiring. Good luck. Edited to add: If you use and MFE or MFSU then make sure you put Transformer upgrades in the machines, or you can use transformers. Otherwise, boom.

How many times are you going to post this? I answered you in your thread you already created for this problem

Go to this page: http://www.technicpack.net/tekkit/ Select "Server" (not the download link, in the list About, Mod List, Changelog, Server, Support), there's a list of previous versions.

Tekkit isn't going to die. Relax. If you don't want to lose those items, it's simple, don't update. And the last I read they were getting rid of Red Matter, not Dark Matter. Source please?

Press "O" and it will come back.

I use Fragnet, which I've been very happy with. I'm running a small server on 1.5G, and while I do get lag spikes occasionally, I honestly don't think you can avoid all lag all the time. I hope I'm not breaking any rules posting a link, but here is their site http://fragnet.net/games/minecraft.php

That video is how to set up a server, I'm not sure he even mentions hamachi, as you don't need it.
-
When you say you can connect, are you connecting with local host or are you connecting via your public IP? Have you tried using a different port? (i.e. Use 25565 for regular Minecraft, 25566 for Tekkit) What is the error message they get when trying to connect? Does your console give you any error messages when they try to connect (like kick messages?)

What I don't seem to understand is, the video I left for you on YouTube literally walks you through all of this. You could have had this up and running in 30 minutes. (It even has them fancy moving pictures with examples). I can't tell if you're trolling or just lazy.

Because the pipes are transparent, it's counting the cobblestone blocks in the pipes as entities.

Tekkit server error to do with Java
Zenalia replied to orionAD6's topic in Tekkit Classic Discussion
Is your launch.bat file in the same folder as your tekkit.jar file? If not, it needs to be. -
You're trying to dedicate 75% of your total RAM to the server, that's your first mistake. You don't need that much for a small server anyway. Lower it to 1 or 2G and try again. Here is the video I used to set up my server (although I now use 3rd party hosting). (this video shows you how to set it up without using Hamachi) Hope this helps.

Just starting a server and I have questions...

Here is a link to data values of blocks (although it does not include Tekkit blocks, it will help you identify most blocks) http://www.minecraftwiki.net/wiki/Data_values If someone has a link to one that includes Tekkit blocks, I'd love that link as well. If you're OP though, even if something is blocked in Worldguard you can still use them. I don't see why that would affect whether or not the world anchors work. For example, TNT has the data value of 20. Even if you block it on Worldguard, as OP you can still place it, and ignite it. Can you elaborate on why you think they aren't working? (What are you trying to keep loaded, and what isn't working). The "can't keep up" messages are lag spikes. These are going to happen sometimes no matter how much RAM you dedicate, although I would recommend not hosting from the computer you're playing on. If it's within your budget, using a 3rd party hosting company is worth the expense. Also, a world anchor keeps 9 chunks loaded at a time, use too many of them and you are going to have loads of lag. When you are loading unexplored areas of a world (expanding the world) you will experience lag spikes even with WorldBorder, but once it's been loaded the lag should decrease dramatically. I hope this helps, good luck! :)
