Question

Posted

I know its a stupid question, but I really don't know. It shows the flashing Icon that its downloaded, and I've tried multiple times and it adds the numbers, so I'm pretty sure they've downloaded. When I open minecraft, the mods aren't there. I probably missed something Important and obvious, but what I don't know.

Better. If you really don't have an error log, your AV or firewall is probably blocking the downloads. Shut it off, add an exception for java, Minecraft, and the launcher, or just completely uninstall it and get a free one that works better.

Oh god, whoever was trying to help you with this are not used to how stupid people are here, when you download technic launcher, YOU USE THAT TO LOAD THE MODDED VERSION! It is pretty obvious what you did is download the launcher, run it, and then wonder hwy when you run the normal minecraft launcher, none of the mods show up.

for example, open up technic-launcher-latest.jar, wait for it to start, select your modpack, enter your login details, and then click login. WOW! IT JUST MAGICALLY WORKS!

I'd really suggest reading the stickies, especially the one clearly titled COMMON PROBLEMS + SOLUTIONS where the following possible solution is listed.

Opening the .exe does nothing, or flashes a loading icon, or says "checking launcher version" then closes.

This is a Java issue. The most common cause is using 32 bit Java. If your Operating system is 64 bit, make sure you update to the latest 64 bit version of Java. Links on www.technicpack.net.

If no matter what you do, the exe just doens't work, go to your .techniclauncher folder and there should be a .jar in there. If not then download

it from www.technicpack.net and use that. Read further up the list for how to determine the bit version of your OS or JAVA.

Oh and looky there, you're using 32 bit java. Isn't looking in the stickies great?
