Description of Problem: I launch the Technic Launcher and it says "Downloading Launcher (3/3).." then says "Error" in a window that the title of it is "An exception occurred during a WebClient requ..."

Antivirus program: AVG

Error Messages: It simply says "Error" in a window that the title of it is "An exception occurred during a WebClient requ..."

Link to pastebin of log: No log because it doesn't create one. In the .techniclauncher file, it has the file "technic-launcher.jar.temp" and nothing more.

This is all I know. Anyone got any suggestions? I don't think it's the AV because I've played it on another computer (Exactly the same, except from the colour) with the same AV.

First of all, get rid of AVG and see if that works. The paid version of AVG is worse than some free programs out there.

The thing is, it's not my computer. It's my mums.She thinks that AVG is the most epic AV on the market! Got any ideas?

AVG is most likely the culprit, so it's social engineering time for you. :)

Okay, 10 to 1 it's AVG being a dick. Youll need to convince your mom to get an antivirus that isn't a dick.
