k1ller103 Posted November 21, 2014 Posted November 21, 2014 (edited) So I've figured out how to get into the world.cfg file and I know about the WorldCustomGen.txt file, but my problem is I can't seem to figure out how to change the spawn rate of other ore like osmium or copper and the other non-vanilla ores. I don't know if it matters but I'm using the recommended version of the volts modpack not the latest version. Edited November 22, 2014 by k1ller103
Gigeran Posted November 22, 2014 Posted November 22, 2014 Some of those ores are not handled by the worldgen but by their own modpack, check the config files for the mods that give the ore to see if you can tweak something in there. One possibility that I know is adding it as a custom ore gen define in the worldgen config, etc. Bit tricky to do right. and making sure that that custom worldgen file is used (best to test offline in newly generated chunks then on a server.)
k1ller103 Posted November 22, 2014 Author Posted November 22, 2014 Yeah Im using the Voltz modpack, and I'm in the modpack config folder but I don't know how to get the non vanilla ores to spawn more frequently. I need help from someone who has done this before.
Valkon Posted November 22, 2014 Posted November 22, 2014 You might be able to figure it out by looking at the config files for Attack of the B-Team or Big Dig.
k1ller103 Posted November 27, 2014 Author Posted November 27, 2014 Ok so I looked at the config files for attack of the B team but they are named differently(I don't think that really matters). My one problem is I don't understand what each of the numbers mean. This is what the config files for attack of the b team looks like. If someone could properly explain what each number after the ore name means that would be great. https://www.dropbox.com/s/co6450dg3kz0105/Screen%20Shot%202014-11-20%20at%209.51.57%20PM.png?dl=0
k1ller103 Posted November 27, 2014 Author Posted November 27, 2014 Also sorry for the late reply My finals are coming up so I've been studying a lot.
