Title: Electric Jetpack not working at any height above 128

Version: 3.0.3/3.0.4

OS: Windows 7 Home Premium

Java Version: Java 7 Update 4

Description of Problem:

Fairly Simple. The electric jetpack from IC2 doesn't work at any height above 128. It makes the sound and uses up energy but doesn't provide any flying ability. If it's anything to do with it, the /fly command from essentials doesn't work either. The swiftwolf's rending gale works fine as does creative mode flying. It's just the jetpack.

Error Messages:

None.

I get the feeling this is something we can't exactly fix; you should probably check and see if anyone has posted this bug over on the IC2 forums. If not, post it.

Ok. Thanks

Is this not natural of the electric jetpack? I know the limit in 1.1 was around 80 blocks if I remember correctly. You should create a biofuel jetpack if you want to go higher.

I can confirm it is indeed supposed to be reduced height in an electric jetpack. It has maintained it's 85 block limit, as it is a renewable resource it has a limit to maintain it's balance. It also may be due to the bug where you still take fall damage appropriate to the highest height you were at.

Normal jetpack should get you higher.

For what it's worth, I just tested it and it won't work above 180. I thought that it might determine the maximum altitude by the ground level, but the ground level was about 65.

Is it always supposed to stop at 128, or is it variable somehow?

It does calculations based on "bedrock level" according to all sources I've found, which I assume is actually just a measure of the Z-axis. Ground level should have no influence whatsoever on the calculations, and the (fuel) jetpack was never meant to be a source of unlimited flight. I believe that Alblaka is taking into account air pressure in the realism of jetpacks (and to make them less OP than already seen).
