Industrialcraft achievement not unlocking( Better than iron)

Title: Industrialcraft achievement not unlocking( Better than iron)

OS: Windows 7

Java Version: 7

Description of Problem:

The achievement "Better than iron" isn't popping up when smelting iron in a stone furnace or taking out refined iron. (Not sure if this is the correct place to post)

Sorry for the small bump, but I'm having the exact same problem. This is quite a problem, as I'm trying to let a friend follow the achievement line of Industrialcraft to get started, but it can't go anywhere if Better Than Iron isn't unlocking.

Im having where i will log out and it will reset all my achievements... and i want to follow them...
