Steampunk - Style is a modpack designed to bring you tons of content, combining both magical and technological aspects,

without overloading the pack. It does not only feature the big, famous mods,

but also includes a lot of new and smaller mods which enhance gameplay.

 

You will find that there is never only one way to do anything on this server, finding a way that suits you,

combining machines, automating and improving designs is the main goal of this server.

You can also explore new dimensions, build a rocket and fly to mars or just blast stuff with your wand. Still want more?

How about creating your own dimensions by using Energy?

 

This server is intended for mature players only. We try to build a small, but friendly community where everyone can get along.

 

The server has a whitelist enforced, simply to protect both the players and the buildings from griefers and immature players. 

 

Joining the teamspeak server during play is encouraged, but not required.

Install Instructions:

1. Download and install the Technic Launcher from here.

 

 

 

2. Login to the Launcher using your Mojang account/MineCraft account.

 

 

 

3. Click on "Modpacks" at the top of the Launcher.

6. After installing, hit PLAY and wait patiently until it loads. There are a lot of mods included so loading can take a while. (Especially the first time!)

I love building complex machinery, and usually automate everything I can. I've been playing MineCraft since alpha. I know my way around mods and could be mod-encyclopedia. Also, for some reason i believe that squids like cake.

 

Why this server?:

I recently became bored of vanilla minecraft and decided to play my favorite modpack on a server! This server seems to have everything I'm looking for.

Of course, i created them.

I never sleep. Also the cake is a lie. I hate bananas.

1. Quarrys can not be used on the overworld. Use them in the mining world.

 

2. Oil was nerfed hard. Refine it to make fuel. Fuel in compensation has been buffed.

 

3. Normal pumps can't pump lava at all. Please use the Enderthermic pump for that.

 

4. Lava has been nerfed. Too cheap and too easy to get. Invest in some solar, wind, fuel, biofuel or big reactors instead. There are plenty of alternatives.

 

5. Ender Quarry disabled. Use a Digital Miner, Mining Laser, Turtles, Quarries, etc instead.

 

6. Mekanism Heatgenerator has been disabled.

 

7. ExtraUtilities Generators have been disabled.

Additional information:

 

This isn't the first server I've ever opened, but it's the first one with so many mods.

 

I've been playtesting this pack for about a month with a friend and have been constantly updating it. 

Yesterday we finally did a map reset and I opened the thread.

 

Just so you know, this isn't some crazy 454354 buildings at spawn, 300000 registered user server. It's completely fresh. We're just starting out with this one and don't have many players yet.

It's supposed to be a small community playing and enjoying the mods together. Rules aren't so strict and everyone is relaxed. 

 

Right now there is a neat small spawn, some portals and some command blocks to teleport you away. If you wish to see yourself/other people on a map, go here: http://creepgaming.tk/map.html

Tell us something about you: I go to college and work so my play time during the the first 4 days of the week are rather limited to later at night. I like building near others not solitarily in the middle of nowhere. Im looking for a community with people to build with.

If you're having troubles starting the pack, try the following things:

 

1. Upgrade Java to Java 8

 

2. In the Launcher options, set a minimum of 2GB! Always leave 2 GB ram for the system tho! (Example: You have 8 GB Ram, don't ever set it to more than 6GB)

Sorry the server crashed right after I went to bed yesterday, so we had a downtime of 4-5 hours. Really sorry for that. First crash since we launched 4 days ago. The mod that caused it has been updated and seems like it's fixed!

I live in Canada, NB, Moncton... a somewhat quiet little place :D

The video games I like to play follow... a unique twist.

Examples include: Touhou, Xenoblade, Rune Factory, Super Smash Bros. and so forth...

 

Why this server: Well... I been wanting to try Thaumcraft and Tinker's Construct on a server for... a bit...

Other than that, I just found this post and was like: "Eh, why not."

 

Do you agree with the rules: If I didn't... I wouldn't be here now would I?

I've still whitelisted you tho, and if you want you can try a few things:

 

If it's not even launching at all, or crashing during launch, you have a few options:

1. Make sure to give MineCraft more ram:

Under "Launcher Options" , go to Java Settings:

Set it depending on how much RAM you have. If you have 4 GB Ram, set it to 2 or 3 GB at most. If you have 2, try 1,5. Never give it all your ram or it will crash.

 

2. Under Memory you see "Java Args". Try adding " XX:PermSize=256m " (no quotes). And see if it starts up now.

 

3. If you are heavily lagging ingame (I assume you tested single player), try on a server. Since when you play on a server your computer doesn't have to do all the work by itself.

 

4. Add Optifine to the mods. Just don't change any settings on "Chunk Loading" or your client will crash until Optifine is removed.

 

5. Install Java 8 if you have not updated yet. I noticed some huge performance boosts.

Why this serverarrow-10x10.png?: I have been playing minecraft for 3 years and I have started to get really bored of single player and i am looking for a server where i can not only play with others but talk and interact with them. Also the word steam punk has me automatically interested :P
