Joshlikeschips Posted February 5, 2015 Share Posted February 5, 2015 It has been bough to my intention the new Minecraft/tekkit name change feature is out and you can change your IGN name to whatever you want but there is a small probably after your name is changed when you join a server that you have already played on your progress is not saved. On the tekkit server "Tekkit ultimate" all my stuff has been reset due to name change I had a lot of items that take a while to get. When you change the IGN name I'm guessing you start a new profile (Player.dat) File Lost all my items Old IGN Joshlikeschips New Name CorruptCanadien Hopefully I can get my old stuff back. Tekkit is just the modpack they happen to use, but you will need to talk to them about your issue. Luckily for you, this appears to be a common problem right now, so everybody who changed their in-game name will have some problems - which means that admins will have to think about solutions. If you get back your stuff, you could put everything in a chest (maybe secure it using mffs and give you and your new nick admin/owner permissions in the area) change your name again and get your stuff out of the chest (if you really have a lot, then you might want to use a me-network Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...
