Can't stack slabs into double slabs

Question

Posted

Started a new server on my machine today and I can't seem to place slabs on top of one another. Or rather I can, but the top slab quickly disappears and teleports back into my inventory.

I've tried the following:

*Ensuring that I am op

*Checking if problem affects blocks other than slabs (It doesn't)

*Deleting the server and reinstalling it straight from the zip

*Deleting the client and reinstalling with the launcher

*Reloading the plugins and restarting the server after initially opping myself

*Checking the log files for both client and server (No errors or notices generated when the problem occurs)

*Searching these forums for relevant information

*Checking the FAQ and known issues topic

*Searching Google for similar problems (Only instance of this problem I found was for a bukkit plugin called ChairCraft...)

Other possibly relevant information:

*Windows 7 64-bit Professional

*Java 7 64-bit (Java 6 not installed)

*I'm running the server from the desktop I'm running the client on and logging in using the loopback address (127.0.0.1)

So far no luck in finding a solution. Anyone else having this issue?

Having the same issues as you. I haven't been as thorough as trying to find a fix but I can verify I still have the issue and these things are similar.

  • [li]I'm OP.[/li]
    [li]Windows 7 64-bit[/li]
[li]Logging into server via localhost (127.0.0.1)[/li]

I need to try clearing cache and such, but haven't had a chance yet.

The server doesn't complain (in log) when trying to stack slabs/half blocks.

The removal process is a lot like when you don't have permission to mine a block or place one. The server just quickly undoes the action and it's removed/returned as soon as the next tick happens.

Best fix for this: If you're in legit minecraft, throw away 2 slabs and spawn number '43' if you're not, just spawn 43 and place it down. Hope this helps! :D

Thats really not a good fix for me. :-\ I don't want to be the friendly "slab converter" for the server I'm running, but thanks for trying to help.
