Stops while downloading mods

Launcher Version: 1.0.1.3

Operating System: Windows 7

Java Version: Version 7 Update 5

Antivirus Program: Okay so the launcher loads and everything. But when I go to Technic or Tekkit or any other mod, it will say a % number and then mincraft.jar and will not download to 100%. Before it would run perfectly fine without a problem. So when this happened I uninstalled a bunch of times the technic launcher and still nothing, i restarted my router, my computer. I even uninstalled and reinstalled my Java's. Please Help! But my Antivirus program has nothing to do with it, already checked.

It would be nice to know what AV you're using instead of just getting told 'lol it isn't teh antiviruses'.

My AV is AVG. But when i downloaded the launcher i gave Tekkit premision to download and stuff.

Plus i've had the tekkit for a long time. So i know its not avg its beed running perfectly fine, and just quit yesterday!

Get rid of AVG anyway, it's a huge piece of shit.

i think the server stop. And that will never continue anymore, you need to refresh it and start all over again.

Okay. For one, AVG and Tekkit can run together I've had AVG for as long as I've had technic. So don't say it's AVG.

And I refreshed it and still doesn't work.

1. Go into task bar.

2. Right click the AVG icon.

3. Click Temporarily disable protection.

4. Run the update

If it works, you can reenable protection. You will have to do this every update.

If it doesn't, uninstall AVG, repeat.

If it still doesn't, THEN whine about it not being AVG.

When I run the Techniclauncher, there is suppose to be a background image. That isn't there anymore either. Please Help me.

Um, does clearing cache do anything important? I didn't mean to press it.....

It deletes the entire folder of the currently selected pack, apart from(possibly) the backup folder.

Well i fixed the clear cache thing so that's not a problem. But it still won't work.

Well, I'm out of ideas. You have latest Java, and latest Launcher. Is your java the right archtiecture? What architecture is your OS?
