freakachu Posted July 13, 2012 Posted July 13, 2012 umm yes? what do you think is stopping you from doing that?
kst8er024 Posted July 13, 2012 Author Posted July 13, 2012 well i was searching and all of the websities that i found had no download links, so do u know any websities
freakachu Posted July 13, 2012 Posted July 13, 2012 you must have searched really hard because it's not like there are links to each mod included in the pack on this very website. I know we'd never do something that convenient around here. not on your life. additionally, I get the feeling you're not looking to mod your minecraft yourself, you want the technic pack without the launcher? am I right about that?
Xylord Posted July 13, 2012 Posted July 13, 2012 I think it's worded webcities. Just anyway, don't forget you should install them in modpack.jar, not minecraft.jar. (For optifine at least)
Lothos Posted July 13, 2012 Posted July 13, 2012 isn't the point of the modpack to provide the mods without the need of multiple download links to each individual mod on a designated page of mods?
Torezu Posted July 13, 2012 Posted July 13, 2012 isn't the point of the modpack to provide the mods without the need of multiple download links to each individual mod on a designated page of mods? Yes, but some people want more mods than what are in the pack. There are options for installing additional ones.
Lothos Posted July 13, 2012 Posted July 13, 2012 Yes, but some people want more mods than what are in the pack. There are options for installing additional ones. I got the impression from the OP that he was looking to manually do tekkit without the launcher. Your point however remains valid.
Torezu Posted July 13, 2012 Posted July 13, 2012 I got the impression from the OP that he was looking to manually do tekkit without the launcher. Now that I reread the OP, I also get the same impression. In that case, this may be a not-so-cleverly disguised attempt at piracy.
Lothos Posted July 13, 2012 Posted July 13, 2012 Well, the brief time I spent the other day on the IC forums reading up on the forestry debate I found that was their general sentiment over there as far as the folks siding with "he who shall not be named". I don't want to derail the thread, but my view on mods for anything provided freely to the public was fair game for redistribution use and modification as long as credit to the original source was noted. Permission is not needed in open source because its open.
