aliennova Posted July 16, 2012 Posted July 16, 2012 I got rid of nether ores because I heard that sometimes causes problems but I still get the same error java -Xmx1G -Xms1G -jar Tekkit.jar nogui 'java' is not recognized as an internal or external command, operable program or batch file. pause Press any key to continue... Please help, I think it is telling me I'm missing something related to java. Quote
JGreen1996 Posted July 16, 2012 Posted July 16, 2012 do you even have java? go into command prompt then type java -version and post what it spits out, i can't help you much more than that at this point in time. Quote
DanishNinja Posted July 16, 2012 Posted July 16, 2012 Go to the java site and download the newest version Quote
aliennova Posted July 16, 2012 Author Posted July 16, 2012 I am pretty sure I installed the latest version of java. Quote
aliennova Posted July 16, 2012 Author Posted July 16, 2012 Oh I just got that whole thing 'java' is not a recognized as an internal or external command, operable program or batch file. Hmm, I reinstalled Java 7 only a moment ago though. Quote
aliennova Posted July 16, 2012 Author Posted July 16, 2012 Oh God... When ever I try to download the latest version it gives me an error telling me that I have to retry later. I restarted my computer and I'm still getting the error >:\ Quote
Torezu Posted July 16, 2012 Posted July 16, 2012 Do...you...have...Java installed? That was the first question, and you still haven't answered it. Either type "java -version" into a command line, or go into Control Panel and look for it (assuming you have Windows). Also, this is in the wrong section. Quote
aliennova Posted July 17, 2012 Author Posted July 17, 2012 I figured out the problem and I fixed it. My computer was looking for java in the wrong spot so I changed the path for it. It is now C:\Program Files\Java\jre7\bin at first it was looking for it in here C:\Program Files\Java\jre1.6.0_22\bin Quote
soulgriever Posted July 17, 2012 Posted July 17, 2012 better idea for best performance. uninstall ALL instances of java then re-install a fresh copy of java 7 64 bit and use this to call java its much prettier xD "%ProgramFiles%\Java\jre7\bin\java.exe" Quote
