Rickmary Posted July 31, 2012 Posted July 31, 2012 The reason it's 16x16 is because 1: It's my first tex pack, and 2: I want it to be useable by anyone in the universe that plays MC or Tekkit.
jakj Posted July 31, 2012 Posted July 31, 2012 But why do you think we care about your 16x pack in a thread about HD packs?
Beer Posted July 31, 2012 Posted July 31, 2012 Well, in my world, there's 4x4 (Low quality), 8x8 (Medium quality) and 16x16 (High quality). Is that wrong, by any chance? If we went off everyones personal standards for things, nothing would get done. I think it's pretty clear what everyone is talking about here and your world is weird. I don't know what world is your world, but in the world of Minecraft, 16x16 (as in, pixels of width and height) is the default resolution, and HD technically is anything larger than that, but most people consider HD to start at 64x or even 128x. The highest I've ever seen is 512x, though 256x is the maximum that most high-end systems can handle, considering Minecraft's lack of optimization. I agree. 32x32 is that happy medium between HD and Default for people with crappy computers (like me). It's not that bad, but it's definitely not that great.
goreae Posted September 25, 2012 Posted September 25, 2012 one good pack is NP smooth. it's not designed for tekkit, but it has support for most of the mods.
