SilverSilix Posted June 12, 2015 Posted June 12, 2015 (edited) I have created an uploaded my custom modpack to Google Drive and create a direct download link. https://drive.google.com/uc?export=download&confirm=yPRq&id=0Bzgdv8x4dCjnZVJWREFtejVDcU0 I have already setup my modpack's page and configured everything http://technicpack.net/modpack/silveria-complete-pack.672937 When trying to download the pack from the launcher, I get the following error: I know there is something wrong with the link, but I don't know what. It's a direct link and the file itself seems fine. I've been troubleshooting all day and I have no idea what to do next. I have created another modpack before and it never had this issue. disconsented Posted June 13, 2015 Posted June 13, 2015 If you follow the link you would notice that it reports a 404 error. You need a permanent direct link (i.e. as soon as you click it you get a file)
SilverSilix Posted June 13, 2015 Author Posted June 13, 2015 That's strange. The link didn't give a 404 when I posted it, but now it is. I think the problem may have been the host; I'll try switching. Can you recommend a good file host that offers direct downloads?
Discord Moderator plowmanplow Posted June 13, 2015 Discord Moderator Posted June 13, 2015 Both copy.com and dropbox work fine. (with the appropriate URL changes) copy.com: add "?download=1" to any public share URL dropbox: replace "www" in the URL with "dl" and remove the trailing "?" including everything after it.
SilverSilix Posted June 13, 2015 Author Posted June 13, 2015 Thanks you. I switched the file over to Dropbox and changed the URL and everything is working fine now.
