0 Siberstorm Posted July 23, 2012 Author Posted July 23, 2012 siber how did you fix it? cause i have the same prob, no replies D: On the Technic Launcher choose Options, select "Manual Build Selection", then choose "3.1.1 | 1.2.5 | Latest" from the drop-down menu. Once that's done login and try to join a 3.1.1 server. If you have already done all of the steps above, I would recommend to delete your tekkit folder entirely (make sure you backup your worlds) and restart the Technic Launcher.
0 GokouZWAR Posted July 23, 2012 Posted July 23, 2012 really this is a derp...i mean come on. Your server obviously updated to the latest version and your client didn't because 3.11 isn't considered "recommended" build as of yet. It was probably posted on your server's website if they have one, if they don't you should play more often on the server to communicate better with your server admins/owners. If you go back to a 3.04 server, you may also need to roll back your client off the manual build option.
0 Torezu Posted July 23, 2012 Posted July 23, 2012 If you go forward to 3.1.1, be sure to back up your waypoints, as those are stored client-side and you can lose them otherwise. Really, there's nothing wrong with 3.1.1, and it's just a dev build still to give servers a few days to test it and catch any little bugs that need worked out.
0 GokouZWAR Posted July 23, 2012 Posted July 23, 2012 Any eta on when 3.11 will be recommended for clients? I'm not upgrading my server for the very reason these guys have posted with this problem. I don't want to have to explain to 1000 users how to select the dev build. Hell 20% of the users connecting to my server can't even figure out the reason they can't get on it is because it's tekkit let alone try to explain to them how to manually choose a specific build...on top of that.
0 Torezu Posted July 24, 2012 Posted July 24, 2012 Hate to say it, but that means your users are kind of dumb. And no, there is no ETA, other than sct specifically saying that it will be "a few days" until it's pushed. That was a few days ago.
0 GokouZWAR Posted July 25, 2012 Posted July 25, 2012 Lol seems to me that about 80% of minecraft users are like that. You'll get no argument from me. I have signs up in my spawn area that say don't ask for op or mod and yet I get at least one every other day asking for it 5 seconds after they join the server.
