Should I wait?

Should I wait to tekkit to be updated for Minecraft 1.3? I want to start using this but Minecraft 1.3 comes out tomorow (Not sure.) and I don't know if I have to created a new world after it updates to Minecraft 1.3.

Well, Tekkit (And Technic) will probably take a while to update to 1.3, since all and every mod has to be updated, and the team then has to fiddle with the pack itself. You should probably give it a few weeks, so I can say for sure that it's worth playing. Plus, I'm pretty sure there'll be less ID issues than with some precedent updates, since we got the 4096 fix or something.

As far as I know, this will be the longest wait between updates as the mods have to adapt to the new way Minecraft is coded i.e. the SSP and SMP merge. The currently SSP only mods will be most affected by this. As I see it, we probably won’t see a recommended build for a good while.

I wouldn't wait and just play Tekkit or Technic for now. It will take a long time to mod for 1.3, unless Jeb fucks us up again like in the 1.2.x versions of Minecraft.
