Legend5140 Posted August 2, 2012 Posted August 2, 2012 this is a short question on the fact that all mods will have to be smp in 1.3, does this mean that tekkit and technic will be combined?
Torezu Posted August 2, 2012 Posted August 2, 2012 That might be the logical assumption, but everything will depend on the mod development cycle, so it's a little early to be asking.
Techpriest Posted August 2, 2012 Posted August 2, 2012 Oh dear god, if Technic and Tekkit is combined.. oh god. Technic + Tekkit = Teknit. No!!!!!!!!!!!
Xylord Posted August 2, 2012 Posted August 2, 2012 Oh dear god, if Technic and Tekkit is combined.. oh god. Technic + Tekkit = Teknit. No!!!!!!!!!!! Even better, Technikit. Seriously, if they have to keep one or another, I think Technic sounds and looks better than Tekkit.
LazDude2012 Posted August 2, 2012 Posted August 2, 2012 They could keep both. Technic would be based on vanilla SMP, and could include Mystcraft and such. (mods that aren't in any way Bukkit compatible) Tekkit would be the same Tekkit we know and love. (these are just suggestions, of course, but it could happen)

Dredcor Posted August 2, 2012 Posted August 2, 2012 I was thinking this same thing. I'm pretty sure that at least a few mods would be dropped from technic, because they don't work with smp.
Fishy Posted August 2, 2012 Posted August 2, 2012 Pretty much my thought as well, keep Tekkit as the more 'simple' pack we all know (IC, EE and BC mainly). And keep Technic as the more 'full' pack that changes content every few versions
