Cooper648 Posted August 5, 2012 Posted August 5, 2012 I have a great idea for a new mod pack. I love fighting and battling In minecraft so why not create a pack based on warfare! Mods included would be: Zeppelin, Planes, A gun mod of sorts, buildcraft, and maybe more. This is just an idea I have had for a while now so let me know what you think.
DELTALON.exe Posted August 5, 2012 Posted August 5, 2012 It sounds like a good pack. Why not find out how to do it yourself?
Cooper648 Posted August 5, 2012 Author Posted August 5, 2012 I just think it would be easier this way because everyone loves technic, I also dont have the know how on how to create a launcher like this. I really want to turn Minecraft into Counter Strike or something, but with vehicles on a map that is yours to create. Like CounterCraft or something cheesy like that. Haha

Haha What makes you think packs need to use a fancy launcher? Last I checked, a modpack was just a way to get a bunch of mods working together without creating 5GB of .zip and .rar files in your downloads folder.
Cooper648 Posted August 5, 2012 Author Posted August 5, 2012 Not a bad idea, I may compile a bunch of mods and put it up for download. I searched CounterCraft and found an experimental plugin for bukkit that turns minecraft into counter strike, so that's pretty cool. I just want the ability to create vehicles outa blocks and control them, but Zeppelin mod looks like it will never see the light of SMP. :/

Cooper648 Posted August 5, 2012 Author Posted August 5, 2012 Thanks for the reminder, almost forgot about that.
Xylord Posted August 7, 2012 Posted August 7, 2012 Just remember that you generally have to get the permission of the modders before making a modpack. Pffft, permissions are for the weak. Real men use un-permitted mods in their mod pack until the modder is so mad he puts malicious code in his mod just to grief the users of the mod pack. (Obvious reference to Forestry drama here).

True they did steal it without perms, let's not get into details tho :/

AwesomeAim Posted August 7, 2012 Posted August 7, 2012 There is a helicopter mod or something on the lines of that, that is SMP i think the yogscast did a review of it
noob4fun Posted August 8, 2012 Posted August 8, 2012 vechiles mod + planes mod + ww2 guns mod = WW2 modpack Sorry to disappoint you, but you've already got your work done for you http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ff6xx6Ibky4
