Error Unzipping a file for following pack when hidden

Question

Posted (edited)

Hello, I just made a modpack file consisting of the folders bin, config, and mods. I have a universal forge.jar renamed modpack, it is located in the bin folder. I have all the mods in the mods folder and my configs in the config folder and they are all bundled up in a .zip folder on drop box. The link I used int he modpack location cell is https://www.dropbox.com/s/******/modpack.zip?dl=1 . When ever I try to install the the mod pack I get the error unzipping a file .... attempting to extract .... but it did not exist.

When I unhide the modpack it work fine, but I dont want it public right now and I need to be able to give my testers the the ability to download the pack., So how do i get it to work while its hidden? It says under the hidden option if you have the direct link it should work, I am assuming by direct link they mean the api I get when I click install.

First off, make sure all your mods are in .zip format. If they're not and you don't know who to fix that, do like this:

1. Put your .jar mods in a sepperate folder on your dekstop.

2. Right click on one and click "pack up here"

3. When you got all the files from the mod, select all of them, right click and choose "add to archive"

4. Change it so it is a .zip format and rename it to that mod.

5. Now you have a .zip mod instead of a .jar mod. Put it in the mods folder and it should work!

If it still doesn't work, get your modpack.zip file and drag it into C:\Users\User\AppData\Roaming\.technic\modpacks\Your Modpack\cache
