Checking lancher version bug

Operating System: windows 7

Java Version: Java 7 update 5

Antivirus Program: avast

Description of Problem:

when i go to open the down loaded file from the windows down load page it opens to a small window and says checking lancher version and closes a second after

Then you need to be more specific about...everything.

post the log file so from the C:\Users\username\AppData\Roaming\.techniclauncher folder <windows 7 not sure where the folder is for xp prob same just under documents and settings
