OS: windows 7 home premium

Java Version: java 6

Description of Problem:

there is a delay on things like opening boxes and how the machines run the real issue is there is a line of chunks where if u walk into it u get stuck and have to be tele ported out now the odd thing is the further away from this area u get the better the boxes machines work when u are near this area u can see the sun moving for say 30 seconds then it moves back to where it was 15 seconds ago but if u are like 40 chunks away from the bad chunk area it works fine there are around 12 ppl playing on the server i run it myself out of my house if anyone has a fix thanks for the help if u need more info ask if i can't fix it in 48 hours im just going to start a new map but my real life friends that play on it will cry

you host it off your house computer so i care to ask is this a problem experienced by you or others. If you then i have nothing to say but if its others and not you your problem would be a sucky internet connection. i would then ask for your upload speed and download speed.

its your upload speed, you need higher then 20mbps after 10 ppl constantly playing

I disagree. 20mbps for 10 people is lol-worthy.

If anything it sounds like there's too much stuff going on in this area for the server to handle. Is the server's RAM or CPU overloaded?

try and upgrade to java 7

im not sure if this will solve it, you may need to try something diffrent, or your computer just can't handle it

my computer kept trying to close stuff because i have used up a lot of my memory, and everything went slow untill i closed everything but minecraft

Seeing all your server hosting experience, i assume your reply is lol-worthy.

To begin minecraft is currently single threaded, meaning it only uses one core of your CPU, typically a desktop CPU has more than enough resources to run a minecraft server with more that 20 players, assuming the minimum quad core at 2+ ghz, most desktops come equipped with 4G+ of ram now, If this isnt the case then this would be one of your issues. As far as chunks not being loaded which is the case here its a connection issue, if it was a hardware issue your server would be experiencing lower server ticks. but that does not affect a player from leaving a loaded chunk to a new one. You need better upload especially if you are running of a internet line where it is just meant for home usage these typically only come with 2mbps upload.
