Try downloading the Java 7 version here http://www.oracle.com/technetwork/java/javase/downloads/jre-7u1-download-513652.html

Also if you are using 64 bit windows try installing the 64 bit version then setting it as the default Java used in your controlpanel.

When you have issues like this please post your System specs so people can answer your question easier.

Also, none of the names appear above the blocks or items.

The final issue is that NEI doesn't display all the items/blocks on the side. It only displays a subset of the vanilla objects (and no, I did not create a subset by accident, I actually don't have the option of selecting subsets).

Has anyone experienced any of these issues and have advice?

Thank you

The little radioactivity symbol above the text box while you're posting puts text in spoilers for you.

Hi, this is my first time using technic pack, I just installed technic pack 6. It works fine- well, except for the part when it just randomly closes on me (without even an error message) every time I try to play. I dont know if there is a simple solution or not, but any help would be appreciated.

I couldn't find any posts that addressed this, so I figured posting here might be better than starting a new topic (even though this changes the subject a little).

Anyway I'm having an odd issue. When I click on any block or item in my inventory it "disappears" and then "reappears" when you click somewhere else (say in your crafting GUI). So in effect you can't see any item or block when it is selected. This makes it incredibly difficult to craft anything (or simply move items into your hotbar).

The final issue is that NEI doesn't display all the items/blocks on the side. It only displays a subset of the vanilla objects (and no, I did not create a subset by accident, I actually don't have the option of selecting subsets).

Has anyone experienced any of these issues and have advice?

Thank you

I am having the same issue. However, I realized it only does this when I turn on a texture pack. This issue doesn't come up if I use default textures. Not sure of how to fix it, would certainly love to know how to get around this problem because HD textures are superior to default in just about every way.
