Description of Problem:

Whenever i try to join a Server it Says "Server Returned HTTP Response Code: 503 for URL http://sessionminecraft.net/game/joinserver.jsp?user=katt979&sessionid=8299269

That's mojangs side, their servers are down.

If the Mojang servers are down, we would not be able to log into minecraft. Beyond logging in, Mojang should have nothing to do with connecting to a server. Client sends out ping, IP for server is found, ping sent back, connection opened between client and server.

If you turn off the online mode for the server you can connect.

Look at the error code; the issue is the session control server Mojang put into place to keep other people from logging in as other people. Login server is fine, yes, but the session server is not.

Issue is on Mojang's side (hence Server Returned HTTP Response Code: 503 for URL http://session.minecraft.net/....) Nothing you can do unless you turn off online mode (but then unauthenticated users can log in, so do so at your own risk).
