Can't download Technic 6.0.7|1.1

Launcher Version: 1.0.1.3

Operating System: Windows 7 Home Premium (64 bit)

Java Version: Java 6 Update 34

Antivirus Program: Kaspersky AntiVirus

Description of Problem:

I try to download Technic 6.0.7|1.1 version because my map is in this version and it has forestry mod. When downloading it starts downloading minecraft.jar gets to 100% then says "Error Update failed" Also I have backups but they seem to when used cause the launcher to continually try to update then crash.

I did read it and I cleared the cache deleted the folder and tried to redownload to no avail.

When you say java update 34 do you mean 34bit? Because that is the wrong java you need 64bit to match.

You are trying to download an outdated version of the launcher. Don't allow it to update, or manually choose a different build.

Can you not download a older version of Technic when a newer one has been released?

Read the (questions) section of technicpack.net. After a new launcher is released-and you update, you must manually select the build you want.

This of is as: you update your windows from vista to 7. You can't run vista once you have 7 (this is a very basic example, based on not doing anything extra).

I was on my phone sorry. I have selected build 6.0.7 manually. I then try to download it and I get the error cannot download.

What I meant by select it manually: once it is downloaded, you can select your build manually.

Yes. He has the proper launcher version. His launcher, the right one, won't download an older Technic build. It's the launcher, or Java.

Okay so walk me through this... Is the launcher downloaded?

If yes, are you trying to downgrade to a version for Minecraft 1.1?

If yes, are you selecting it from the drop down list?

If yes, is this when the Download Failed message appears?

You don't have Java 7... (from your log: '1.6.0_31-b05')

Uninstall any old versions of Java and redownload java 7.
