When I click the Mod Select Butto nothing happens

Doesn't work for anyone ATM. The new Forge modloader doesn't support it.

From what I read, the button is disabled to prevent people from accidentally screwing with it. If you want to remove a mod, you have to do it manually.

It wasn't disabled, there is an issue with Forge (as burning cake said) that prevents the use of the traditional config file. It was not an intentional choice, just a minor bug.
