Karlowns Posted September 27, 2012 Posted September 27, 2012 I extract everything from Tekkit Server_3.1.2 and try to run "launch" (the .bat file) but I get this message. http://postimage.org/image/3x7u16o7p/ Help?
Nixsy Posted September 28, 2012 Posted September 28, 2012 I think you need to update your version of java. http://www.oracle.com/technetwork/java/javase/downloads/jre-7u1-download-513652.html
EzioA Posted September 28, 2012 Posted September 28, 2012 Did you really just give him a 7u1 link? ಠ_ಠ It's here: VOILA!
Nixsy Posted September 28, 2012 Posted September 28, 2012 Did you really just give him a 7u1 link? ಠ_ಠ It's here: VOILA! I think I must need to remove the matchsticks from my eyes and sleep a little more. But just goes to show double check everything.
Karlowns Posted September 28, 2012 Author Posted September 28, 2012 Well, that didnt seem to work. I installed 7u7 and it still doesnt work
EzioA Posted September 29, 2012 Posted September 29, 2012 Did you uninstall your old java version? Go to Start -> type in "cmd" -> Press Enter -> Type "java -version" and paste contents here. Also try: Right click launch.bat -> Edit "java -jar -Xmx3G -Xms2G Tekkit.jar nogui" to: "java -jar -Xmx1G -Xms1G Tekkit.jar nogui" 2-3GB of RAM is too fucking much for a tekkit server.
Karlowns Posted September 29, 2012 Author Posted September 29, 2012 Okay, while that solved that problem now im getting this error message. http://postimage.org/image/dhq37s877/
Karlowns Posted October 4, 2012 Author Posted October 4, 2012 So, anyone know what the newest error is?
Omicron Posted October 5, 2012 Posted October 5, 2012 Don't bump your threads, it's against the rules... Also, did you modify your Railcraft-5.3.3-MCPC-1.2.5-r8.zip file in any way? Last time I got an error like this was when I tried to install a Buildcraft addon that required me to replace a file inside the main Buildcraft zip with an up to date one. Using WinZip on the machine that hosts my server led to getting this error. Using WinRAR on my own machine and then copying the file over resulted in error-free operation.
