Description of Problem:

I was changing my tekkit version and loaded it up but then my world had nothing with tekkit in it. only vanilla stuff. all my work was lost and it saved so i couldnt go back

When you update, the worlds are not compatible. Start again.

The best thing you can do if you want to save progress is to put the saved folder in a separate folder or on a flash drive.
