This has been answered many many times on the forums.

The search function is your friend please try using it, the search on here and goggle to find the answer took me around 30 sec. each.

You don't have the correct .net frame work for the .exe to work , you can either download the 4.0 .net framework and install it or try using the .jar launcher on the same page you download the .exe launcher from and see if that works.

Also Mcafee might block the execution of both the .exe and .jar launchers , if it does either shut off your antivirus or give them expceptions.

Ok ill try it out and tell you what happens. (Your my Favorite Helper!) :)

Awww man Grindle, I help like 30 people and they get mad because I did explain it well enough, and you help one guy semi-sarcastically and he thinks you're (notice the spelling JSC) the best! :argh:

I'm just kidding, don't worry :) I am glad you were able to get it working though.

I am getting a “Technic Launcher has Stopped Working Error”!

If your launcher is encountering this error, a solution is to download the .jar file from http://www.technicpack.net/download/ (pick the third from the left (Linux/Jar)). If you are using Internet Explorer you will also need to change the file extension (the ending of the file) to .jar instead of .zip. Once you’ve done that, all you need to do is double-click on the file to run the launcher.

how do i change it from a .zip to a .jar?

Rightclick the .zip file, select "Rename", highlight the ".zip" part of the file, hit backspace, type ".jar" in it's place, hit enter. Done.

If you don't see a ".zip" on the end of it, go to your folder settings and turn on "show file extentions".

EDIT: Spelling fail, fixed.

there is no file with .zip at the end. its a compressed folder that says technic-launcher-latest. when i open it i have a com folder, a org folder,a and a sevenzip folder.

Sorry, no offense dude but I'm not comfortable handing out personal contact methods like that. I'd suggest taking a screenshot and putting it up on Imageshack and tossing a link here, cause honestly Jorcer is better than me with this stuff.
